09 Aug BATT Argentina “La Reserva #42” – Reporte de la corrida (04/08/2018)
Hola y buenos días para todos, mitad de semana, cuenta regresiva para nuestro encuentro del sábado, vamos que falta poco!!!
Recuerden que todos podemos participar y colaborar en ello, no solo es correr sino que también hay otras tareas que pueden interesar (Grilla de Voluntarios) y pueden ayudar a todo el equipo.
Les comento que éste es un espacio para que todos podamos expresarnos, contar la experiencia que vivimos en cada uno de los eventos, por lo que, si quieres compartir tu historia o una anécdota, las puede enviar por correo (batimetrials@gmail.com) o en forma privada y luego la incluimos. Es una manera de incentivar y fortalecer los vínculos como Equipo, unidos por lo que más nos gusta hacer.
Bueno en cuanto al Evento #42 del sábado pasado, les cuento que parecía desalentador, porque había amanecido con mucha niebla y al llegar a “La Reserva”, el equipo de Voluntarios de BATT Argentina fue informado que los guarda parques se encontraban atrasados en el checkeo del predio y las puertas no habían sido abiertas al público aún.
Seb como nuestro director y organizador de la corrida, comenzó la verificación del Recorrido Alternativo y arregló las señalizaciones; pero por suerte, al regresar se encontró con “La Reserva” abierta y pudiéndose utilizar el recorrido original; hizo su usual recorrida de seguridad y llevamos a cabo nuestro evento en el recorrido que tanto amamos.
Los voluntarios de a poco comenzaron a llegar (Magali, Pato, Cris y Néstor) , junto con los 
participantes; y esta semana se incorporaron dos nuevos miembros para completar nuestros 5K semanales (Mili y José Luis). Bienvenidos chicos! Nuestra familia continua en aumento.
También concurrió Guille que buscaba completar su evento #17 e Ingrid que volvía a nuestras pistas luego de un par de meses.
Seb llamó a formar la habitual ronda, nos brindó sus 
usuales anuncios generales y algunos tips informativos para cuidar de la seguridad de todos los participantes; como siempre vinieron los aplausos para los voluntarios del día (Magali, Pato, Cris, Silvi, Néstor y Seb) y se agrego una fuerte ovación para Su, que en el día completaba su décimo evento. Felicitaciones Su. Un gran logro y vamos por más!
Todos los participantes se acomodaban en la largada, y tras el anuncio de Magali, 3….,2….1, largaron despavoridos y se desperdigaron por el sendero de “La Reserva”.
Néstor y Ezequiel tomaron la punta a un ritmo muy rápido y se esperaban grandes tiempos. 
Néstor se encontraba muy entusiasmado y sabíamos que iba a darle una buena pelea a Ezequiel en la búsqueda del podio; y apenas pasados los 15 minutos, ya desde lejos los podíamos observar a ambos, aproximándose a la meta cabeza a cabeza.
Un desafío sorprendente donde Néstor consiguió su 
primera victoria en nuestros eventos, por el mínimo de los márgenes, logrando cruzar la meta solo un segundo por delante de Ezequiel en 17:12, y reduciendo por 21 segundos su marca personal (PB).
Felicitaciones campeón, muy buena corrida. Un gran logro bien buscado y merecido. Gracias al esfuerzo y dedicación que le pones. Como una fiera con todas sus garras bien afiladas!
Esa es la actitud, todos podemos dar lo mejor nuestro y disfrutar la experiencia a nuestro gusto. Todo a su tiempo, perseverando y como digo siempre disfrutando lo que se hace.
En el segundo grupo, se intercambiaban posiciones entre Dickson y el debutante José Luis en la búsqueda por alcanzar el tercer escalón del podio, seguidos Norberto y las chicas Su y Maru,
grandes representantes del sector femenino que no dejamos de dar pelea.
En cuanto a las marcas personales, hubo excelentes mejoras (PBs) de Nestor (-0:21seg), Norberto (-2:19), Maru (-0:30seg), Lu (-1:37), Ingrid (-1:06) y Crissie (-0:11).
Gracias a todos los voluntarios del día por brindar toda su buena energía a nuestros eventos y a José Luis que prestó su colaboración con la marcación y control de posiciones, luego de realizar su corrida.
Y después del esfuerzo, llegó el descanso, el momento de relax, donde todos compartimos de la grata compañía, un mate y una charla; donde comentamos un poco lo vivido, proyectos o nos coordinamos para asistir a alguna competencia local.
Este domingo, algunos de los miembros de BATT Argentina, se hicieron presentes en los Bosques de Palermo, en donde se celebraban los 15K de New Balance, gracias a todos los asistentes.
En otro momento especial en los encuentros, el tradicional sorteo de remeras, y en donde los ganadores Dickson y Néstor que, al contar ya con la suya, muy generosamente la donaron a Maru y Andy, gracias chicos por la buena acción.
Sábado a sábado vamos conformando cada vez más nuestros lazos de amistad en el equipo, claro ejemplo, el festejo al cual nos invitó Néstor previsto para el próximo sábado, donde vamos a celebrar su cumpleaños nº 32 después de la corrida. Y están están todos invitados; y está semana también se acercan los cumpleaños se Sasha y Hugo.
En resumen, fue una excelente mañana con la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes deja su marca, su granito de arena. Una huella donde todos somos parte.

BATT Argentina – Run Report – “La Reserva #42” (04/08/2018)
Hello to everyone that takes part in our beautiful events and make it happen. We are in the middle of the week and we are getting closet to our Saturday event. We are almost there!
Please remember that we can all take part and give a hand. Our events are not just running and there are plenty of enjoyable tasks that you might be interested in (Volunteers Roster) to provide support to the team.
As expressed before, this is a common space where all of us can write and communicate your experiences in our events so, if you’d like to share any stories or anecdotes, please feel to mail it to us (batimetrials@gmail.com) so we can add them to the report. It’s a great incentive and great way of getting to know each other a bit better in the Team, united by this little that thing that we love to do.
Well, in relation to our last Saturday event; the morning wasn’t looking that great because when the BATT Argentina Volunteers arrived to our venue, they were informed that because of the Fog, the Rangers of the park were a bit late on their daily check so the doors weren’t open to the general public yet.
Very quicky, our Run Director of the day, started the “Back Up Course” check to make sure that it was safe for all the participants and put all the signs in place; and luckily, by the time he came back, the doors of the park were opened, so he made another checking Lap in our original course and we have the chance of having our run inside “La Reserva”.
Early in the morning the participants and volunteers started to arrive (Magali, Pato, Cris y Néstor) and reunited in our “Meeting Area”; and this week we have to new First Timers in our weekly 5K runs (Mili and José Luís). You are very welcomed guys! And our family keeps growing.
Guille was with us again, intending to complete his 17th event and it was the return of Ingrid after a couple of months away.
As usual, Seb called for and reunite everyone to provide his general announcements and security briefing with some useful security tips for the participants; afterwards we have the loud round of applauses for the day volunteers (Magali, Pato, Cris, Silvi, Néstor y Seb) and we also had an standing ovation for Su, that on the day was completing her 10th event with us in “La Reserva”. Congrats Su, a great achievement!
Closely afterwards, all participants took their positions on the start line and wait for our day Timekeeper’s (Magali) initial announcement. 3…….2……..1, and everyone left as a herd of wild animals in the initial part of their runs.
Néstor y Ezequiel settled on the lead very quickly nd we were expecting to see vary good times on the day. Néstor was very focussed on the day and we all knew that is was going to be a close battle Ezequiel in their chase for the podium. So, when the timers were just over the 15:00min mark, from the distance we could see both participants approaching the finish line neck to neck.
A brilliant challenge where Néstor managed to gain the victory by the smallest margin, managing to crossed the goal only a second before Ezequiel in 17:12, and gaining a brand new PB in our course.
Well done Champ! An excellent run. A great and well-deserved achievement. All the effort and dedication is paying off. Like a beast with very sharp claws!
But for the rest, please do not get do not get overwhelmed. We can all keep up doing our best, enjoying our time at our own paces, persevering and over all, enjoying the experience with our members.
In a second group, Dickson and our First Timer José Luís were interchanging positions during the whole run in their chase to get the last step of the podium, very closely followed by Norberto and Su & Maru, as the first ladies to reach the finish line.
In relation to the times, there was huge personal bests on Saturday (PBs): Nestor (-0:21sec), Norberto (-2:19), Maru (-0:30sec), Lu (-1:37), Ingrid (-1:06) and Crissie (-0:11sec).
Thank you very much to all the volunteers of the day for bringing all their support and energy to our events and to José Luis that also gave us a hand with the positioning after concluding his run. Thanks a lot mate.
Once concluded with our runs, there was some time to rest and relax, sharing laughs and stories with the other fellow members and we organised with a few to go and visit other local events.
So, on Sunday, a few of us went to the Palermo common where the New Balance 15K were celebrated, and we share the morning with other fellow runners and colleagues.
Also, we had the raffle the BATT Argentina T-Shirts and on Saturday, the lucky winners were Dickson and Néstor, that very gently donated to the Maru and Andy. Thank you, guys. A wonderful attitude. Cheers.
The relationship between the different members of the team is growing event after event, and for next Saturday (11/08/2018), Néstor is inviting us to join him in his birthday 32 celebrations after the run. Everyone is welcome! And also during the week, we celebrated the birthdays of Hugo and Sasha. Congratulations guys!
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their prints, their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
