02 Jan BATT Argentina “La Reserva #63” – Reporte de la corrida (29/12/2018)
Cerrando el año contra viento y marea!
El sábado despertaba a la ciudad y desde tempranas horas el equipo de BATT Argentina llegaba a “La Reserva” y como el establecimiento no abriría sus puertas al público en el día, el equipo rápidamente comenzó con todos los preparativos y chequeos de seguridad necesarios para llevar a cabo nuestro evento #63 utilizando el “Recorrido Alternativo”.
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal para facilitar a la seguridad de todos los participantes y además, porque de esta forma se puede agilizar el funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de ellos es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Justo al momento que Seb finalizaba su vuelta de reconocimiento del recorrido, una gran nube negra cubría los celos de la ciudad y unos breves minutos después la ciudad de Buenos Aires sufría una corta pero intensa tormenta eléctrica. Fuerte viento y un gran chubasco.
Y ya llegando al momento de iniciar nuestros 
defaulteventos, mientras Seb conversaba con una de nuestras nuevas participantes, Raquel. Voluntarios y diferentes participantes se comenzaban a agrupar en nuestra “área de reunión alternativa” en las proximidades del “Acceso Viamonte” y realizaban una rutina de precalentamiento dirigida por Rodrigo.
La seguridad e integridad de todos los participantes es la piedra basal en todos los eventos de BATT Argentina por lo que Seb (Director de la corrida en el día), luego de conversar con los nuevos miembros, se encargó de dar unas breves indicaciones y consejos de seguridad a los participantes.

“SIN ELLOS NUESTROS EVENTOS NO SERIAN POSIBLES”
Todo listo para comenzar la corrida. Los voluntarios se acomodaban y los participantes se dirigían a la zona de largada para tomar posiciones y aguardar el grito inicial.
3….2…..1….. Yaaaa!!! Y todos comenzaban la prueba a toda máquina y rápidamente se diseminaban por el recorrido.
Néstor partía a toda velocidad y era seguido bien de cerca por Rodrigo que iniciaba su primera corrida en el “Recorrido Alternativo” 
por primera vez.
Asimismo, Andy actuaba como voluntario de cola en el día y acompañaba a la otra de nuestras nuevas participantes, Raquel en su primera corrida con la comunidad de BATT Argentina.
Mientras la corrida se llevaba a cabo, Seb se reacomodaba en el recorrido para intentar capturar nuevas placas de nuestros participantes durante el desarrollo de la corrida; y una vez que todos los corredores atravesaban el área, los voluntarios del día se dirigían a la zona de llegada para terminar con todos los preparativos y prepararse para recibir a los primeros participantes.
Recordamos a todos nuestros miembros que en nuestro equipo de voluntarios existen varias posiciones que se encuentran libres para las próximas semanas. Por lo que se les agradecerá mucho a todos aquellos que se encuentran interesados en participar en los eventos brindando algún tipo de apoyo especial.
“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
El Equipo de voluntarios se encuentra buscando miembros que estén interesados en tomar fotografías en nuestros eventos o en llevar a cabo el reporte semanal de vez en cuando como una forma de incorporar las distintas experiencias de nuestros participantes desde una visión más cercana al campo de juego.
Ya en la segunda mitad de la Corrida, Néstor había logrado separarse de Rodrigo, para consolidar su lugar en el tope del podio.
Asimismo, Rodrigo estaba experimentando ciertos dolores, teniendo que comenzar su retorno sin completar la totalidad del recorrido.
Y por detrás, asegurando la integridad y salud de todos nuestros participantes, nos encontrábamos con Andy actuando como nuestro voluntario de Cola en el día, y compartiendo una linda corrida con Raquel se aproximaban a la meta.
Con una lluvia muy suave, desde la base se empezaba a vislumbrar la silueta de Néstor que a todo vapor se aproximaba a la línea final. 18:21, un brillante nuevo PB en el “Recorrido Alternativo” con una mejora de casi tres 
minutos con respecto a su marca anterior. Felicitaciones Campeón! Gran esfuerzo.
Los distintos participantes continuaban finalizando la prueba con muy buenos tiempos y mientras aguardábamos que todos terminaran su corrida, aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
Y al final de todo, concluían la prueba Raquel y Andy que, con grandes sonrisas en sus caras, se unían con el resto de los participantes y miembros del equipo de BATT Argentina.
Felicitaciones a todos los participantes del 63vo evento de BATT Argentina”. Miembros, participantes, amigos, corredores y voluntarios que se han desempeñado de una manera extraordinaria.
Primer evento: Raquel
Nuevos PBs: Néstor 18:21 (-2:59)
“Otra gran experiencia en “La Reserva”; nuestro equipo y los eventos cada vez se encuentran más sólidos y continuamos sumando adeptos”
Y al finalizar el evento, varios de los participantes nos reunimos en las inmediaciones de “La Reserva” para distenderse y pasar un grato momento con otros miembros. Y luego, entre otras cosas nos organizamos para ir de visita a los “8K de San Silvestre” y los “6K del Borracho”, carreras a celebrarse en los siguientes días.
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.
Les deseamos una excelente semana y los esperamos a todos el próximo sábado para compartir otra grandiosa corrida en “La Reserva”.

Closing the year under the weather!
It was Saturday once again and the team of Volunteers of BATT Argentina arrived to “La Reserva” to start with all the necessary security checks and preparations to develop another Free, Weekly & Timed 5K.
Because of the bad weather conditions suffered during the week, our venue wasn’t going to open its doors to the general public, so the team quickly started checking the conditions of our “Back Up course” and be able to develop its #63rd consecutive.
Our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of our amazing members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT ARGENTINA IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
And just after Seb finished checking the course condition, the sky went dark and a really big, black cloud covered the whole area, and a few minutes later, the whole city of Buenos Aires experienced a heavy Thunderstorm. Pouring rain and strong winds!
Getting ready to start the event, Seb was chatting with one of our new First Timers of the day, Raquel. The other volunteers and participants started to congregate in our “Alternative meeting point” in the proximities of the “Acceso Viamonte” and, directed by Rodrigo, everyone performed a short warm up routine before starting our run.
Health & Safety of all the members & participants plays a key role in all BATT Argentina events and as usual, our day Run Director gave some initial announcements & indications to all of our participants, finishing with a big round of applause for the day volunteers.

“WITHOUT THEM, OUR EVENTS WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE”
The BATT Argentina Team got into action and the volunteers started taking their positions. All the day participants started their journey to the starting area and quickly settle places on the starting line.
Everyone was ready on the start line and Seb provided a few quick last-minute safety tips to our participants. Everybody was ready for action.
Ready….. Set …. Gooooooo!! And all our participants started spreading through the field.
Néstor started the run on top and at full speed, followed closely by Rodrigo that was also performing his first run in the “Back Up Course”.
The run was carrying on and Andy, who was acting as Tale Volunteer on the day, was running with Raquel, that also was performing her first run with the BATT Argentina community.
In the meantime, Seb was re positioning himself to be able to get a few good pics of the runners and after they passed through the area, the volunteers of the day went to the finishing area to conclude with all the preparations and signs and get ready to receive the first participants.
For the next few Saturdays, there are still a few empty volunteering roles; and it would be greatly appreciated if you can let us know if you are interested in participating in any of our next events providing any kind of support.
“YOUR ACTION MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
Our Volunteers Team is looking for any members that might be interested in taking photographs in our events or in preparing our weekly Run Report from time to time, as a way of incorporating the different experiences of our participants with a closer view of the field.
While in the second half of the run, Nestor had already managed to get an important margin against Rodrigo, to consolidate his position at the top of the pack.
At this instance, Rodrigo was experiencing some discomfort in his legs, and decided to return to base without completing the totality of the course.
And finishing the line of participants, running at the back of the field. Andy was acting as Tale Volunteer and was sharing an interesting run with Raquel while approaching the goal.
Now with a very light drizzle, from the base the volunteers started glimpsing Nestor’s silhouette, approaching the base line still at full throttle. 18:21, a brilliant new PB in the “Back Up course” with an improvement of almost three minutes over his previous best mark. Big congrats Champ! Great effort.
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times and, as we were waiting the rest of the participants to finish; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
And at the end, Raquel and Andy conclude their run, and with big smiles on their faces, they joint the rest of the participants and members of the BATT Argentina Team.
Many congrats for all the participants of the 63rd event of BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Members, participants, friends, runners and volunteers have been amazing and very important part of this wonderful experience.

And to conclude the day, some of us got together and spent some time in an “after” outside “La Reserva” to chill have a relaxing time between the different BATT Argentina members. And then, we managed to organize ourselves our visit to the “San Silvestre 8K” and the “Del Borracho 6K” on the following days.
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
