En la recta final del 2018. Ultimos metros de un gran año!
Llegaba el sábado y la ciudad de Buenos Aires nos deslumbraba con una hermosa mañana. Con unas casi perfectas condiciones para correr (Seamos honestos. Está empezando a hacer un poco de calor) los voluntarios de BATT Argentina llegaban a “La Reserva” para comenzar con todos los preparativos y chequeos de seguridad necesarios para poder llevar adelante el evento #62
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de ellos es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Mientras Seb realizaba el reconocimiento del recorrido; miembros, voluntarios y diferentes participantes se comenzaban a agrupar en nuestra “área de reunión” y 
finalizaban con todos los preparativos, chequeos de seguridad y señalizaciones necesarias.
Asimismo, antes de nuestros usuales instructivos anuncios iniciales, Rodrigo reunió a los participantes del día y proporciono una concisa, didáctica y muy divertida sesión de precalentamiento que todos nuestros miembros supieron disfrutar.
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal para facilitar a la seguridad de todos los participantes y además, porque de esta forma se puede agilizar el funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
La seguridad e integridad de todos los participantes es la piedra basal en todos los eventos de BATT Argentina por lo que Seb (Director 
de la corrida en el día), luego de conversar con los nuevos miembros, se encargó de dar unas breves indicaciones y consejos de seguridad a los participantes.
Una fuerte ronda de aplausos para Sebas, que en el día se encontraba participando de su evento numero 25; y finalizando los anuncios generales, recordamos a todos los voluntarios participando en el día por su gran aporte a nuestras reuniones semanales. Muchas gracias a Tai, Rodrigo, Alfredo, Ricardo y Seb.
“SIN ELLOS NUESTROS EVENTOS NO SERIAN POSIBLES”
Todo listo para comenzar la corrida. Los voluntarios se acomodaban y los participantes se dirigían a la zona de largada para tomar posiciones y aguardar el grito inicial.
3….2…..1….. Yaaaa!!! Y todos comenzaban la prueba a toda máquina y rápidamente se 
diseminaban por los senderos de “La Reserva”.
Dickson tomaba la punta rápidamente seguido por Richard, Norberto e Isabel, una de nuestras nuevas participantes, que intentaba inmiscuirse entre los muchachos.
Unos minutos después de comenzada la corrida, Alfredo comenzaba la prueba, y cual bólido, iniciaba la persecución. Se veía muy difícil, pero su sonrisa nos dejaba inferir que 
se encontraba decidido a buscar subirse nuevamente al tope del podio en su segunda participación en nuestros eventos.
La corrida se desarrollaba con normalidad y nuestros participantes disfrutaban de las maravillosas condiciones para correr en “La Reserva”.
En el frente, Norberto, Richard y Dickson se mantenía fuertes y a un ritmo firme. Isabel, había logrado subir hasta la cuarta posición, pero comenzaba a ser increpada por Carlos, otro de nuestros nuevos participantes, que continuaba buscando la forma de sobrepasarla. Que gran evento. Super divertido!
Mientras tanto, a todo vapor, Alfredo continuaba sobrepasando corredores y se aproximaba a los líderes. Que carrerón estaba desarrollando!
Los voluntarios terminaban de preparar la zona de llegada y aguardaban ansiosos por nuestros participantes. Tai tomaba el control como Gerenta de datos y Seb se ubicaba para intentar capturar unas buenas placas de los distintos participantes aproximándose y cruzando la meta.
Recordamos a todos nuestros miembros que en nuestro equipo de voluntarios existen varias posiciones que se encuentran libres para las próximas semanas. Por lo que se les agradecerá mucho a todos aquellos que se encuentran interesados en participar en los eventos brindando algún tipo de apoyo especial
“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
Ya en la segunda parte de la corrida, luego de sobrepasar a Isabel y a Carlos, Alfredo se acercaba a nuestro pelotón de frente y entrando en la parte final, conseguía tomar el liderazgo de la prueba.
Desde la base, los voluntarios del día comenzaban a vislumbrar la figura de Alfredo que a todo vapor se disponía a conseguir su segunda primera posición en nuestras corridas semanales. Cruzando la meta en 21:47, habiendo comenzado su prueba unos dos minutos por detrás de los demás participantes.
Que gran esfuerzo Alfredo! Determinación y coraje para darlo todo! Y siempre, sin perder la sonrisa en su cara. Un gran espíritu deportivo.
Bien de cerca, lo seguían Dickson y Richard que 
cruzaban la línea final en 22:49 y 23:49 respectivamente. Gran esfuerzo y constancia. Y felicitaciones a Richard por conseguir un magnifico PB es su segunda corrida con nosotros. Un grande; logrando mejorar por 15 segundos su anterior mejor marca. Vamos por más!
Un poco por detrás, cruzaba la meta Norberto en 25:33 y los seguía Carlos, quien en los 
metros finales, con un brillante sprint final, lograba sobrepasar a Isabel y finalizar su primera corrida con nosotros en “La Reserva” en 26:47. Fantástico muchachos!
Y sí. Dándolo todo hasta el final, participando en su primer evento con BATT Argentina, Isabel cruzaba la meta como primera de las chicas en 26:49. Otro carrerón Isa. Esperamos contar con tu presencia en nuestras filas pronto.
Los participantes continuaban finalizando la 
prueba con muy buenos tiempos y mientras aguardábamos que todos terminaran su corrida, aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
Pato y Nati completaban sus corridas y se unían a los demás corredores mientras aguardábamos a Ema que era acompañado por nuestro voluntario de cola. Debemos recordar que Ema se encuentra volviendo a las pistas luego de una lesión y no es el momento para apresurarse. Es seguro que lo tendremos pronto intentando conseguir nuevas marcas.
Felicitaciones a todos los participantes del 62vo evento de “BATT Argentina”. Miembros, participantes, amigos, corredores y voluntarios que se han desempeñado de una manera extraordinaria.

Y al finalizar el evento, varios de los participantes nos reunimos en las inmediaciones de “La Reserva” para realizar un pequeño brindis despidiendo este grandioso año y prepararnos para lo que se viene. La comunidad de BATT Argentina continua sumando adeptos y vamos por más ….
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #62” – Run Report (22/12/2018)
It’s the final countdown for 2018. Last metres of a great year!
Saturday arrived and Buenos Aires woke us up with a beautiful morning. With almost perfect weather conditions for running (Let’s be honest. Temperatures are on the rise!) and the BATT Argentina volunteers arrived to “La Reserva” to start with all the preparations and all the necessary safety checks to be able to carry on with a new of our weekly runs.
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
While Seb was running and checking our course conditions, different members, volunteers and participants started to congregate in our “Meeting Point” area and were finishing with all the event preparations.
Furthermore, before our normal initial briefing, Rodrigo call for all the day participants and provided a succinct, entertaining and fun warm-up routine that all our members seem to have enjoyed.
Our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
The health and safety of our participants is a key stone in all the BATT Argentina events so Seb, acting as a Run Director on the day, after a brief chat with the new First Timers, provided the normal briefing to all the present members, with some short indications, guidance and safety tips.
There was a big round of applauses for Sebas that on the day was completing his 25th event and, to conclude with the general announcements, we provided a “Standing ovation” for all the day volunteers. Many thanks to Tai, Rodrigo, Alfredo, Richard y Seb).
“WITHOUT THEM, OUR EVENTS WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE”
The BATT Argentina Team got into action and the volunteers started taking their positions. All the day participants started their journey to the starting area and quickly settle places on the starting line.
Everyone was ready on the start line and Seb provided a few quick last minute safety tips to our participants. Everybody was ready for action.
Ready….. Set …. Gooooooo!! And all our participants started spreading through the different paths from “La Reserva”.
Dickson quickly took the lead, closely followed by Richard, Norberto and Isabel, one of our female First Timers, that was intending to squeeze between the guys.
A few minutes past the starting time, Alfredo arrived and started his run, and like a wild roadrunner he started chasing the fellow participants. It was looking like a very difficult task, but with a big smile on his face, we could infer that he was really looking for the top place in our podium once again.
The run was developing as normal and our members were enjoying the wonderful running conditions of “La Reserva”.
Up on the lead, Norberto, Richard and Dickson were keeping strong with a very solid rhythm. Isabel had managed to step up to the forth position but, close to her, Carlos, who was also running with us for the first time was starting to throw a few attempts to overtake her. What a great event. Super Fun!
Meanwhile, Alfredo was still running at full throttle. Overtaking further participants and getting close to the leaders. What a superb effort!
The volunteers got together to finish with the last preparations and signalling marks of the “Finishing Area”. Tai took the lead as Data Manager and Seb was finding a good spot to take a few great images of the different participants approaching and crossing the goal.
For the next few Saturdays, there are still a few empty volunteering roles; and it would be greatly appreciated if you can let us know if you are interested in participating in any of our next events providing any kind of support.
“YOUR HELP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
Well over the middle of the run, after overtaking Carlos and Isabel, Alfredo was getting close to the front pack and by the time he was entering in the final straight, he managed to take the top spot of the pack.
From the base, the day volunteers could start getting a glimpse of Alfredo, that from the distance and still running incredibly fast, was going to achieve his second first position in our weekly runs. Crossing the finish line in 21:47, having started his run around two minutes behind the rest of the participants.
What an effort Alfredo! Great determination a courage to give it all! And even more outstanding. Always without losing the smile on his face. A great sporting spirit.
Very closely, Dickson and Richard crossed the finish line in 22:49 and 23:49 respectively. A great consistent effort Guys. And big congrats to Richard for obtaining a brilliant PB on his second BATT Argentina event. Great stuff. What a Champ, managing to gain 15 seconds from his previous best time. Keep it up Rich!
A bit further back, Norberto crossed the goal in 25:33 and was followed by Carlos, that on the last metres managed to overtake Isabel and thus finished his first run with us in “La Reserva” in 26:47. A fantastic run guys. Well done!
And yes. Giving it all until the end, on her first event with us, Isabel crossed the goal as the first of the ladies in 26:49. Another superb run. And for sure there’s more to come from her. We look forward to have in our events very soon.
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times and, as we were waiting the rest of the participants to finish; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
Pato and Naty completed their runs and joined the other runners while we where waiting for Ema that was running with our Tale volunteer Rodrigo. We must remember that Ema is just recovering from an injury and its better no to rush the recovery time. For sure we’ll have him chasing for new PBs very soon.
Many congrats for all the participants of the 62nd event of BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Members, participants, friends, runners and volunteers have been amazing and very important part of this wonderful experience.

And to conclude the day, a few of the participants (Ok, most of them) got together close to the coffee shops close to “La Reserva” and have a brief toast to close a wonderful year and get ready for all that is coming. The BATT Argentina community keeps adding members and we can only say that we are going for more ….
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
