Ni el viento, la lluvia o el G20 nos detiene ….
Nuevamente llegábamos al sábado y desde muy temprano muy temprano, el equipo de voluntarios de BATT Argentina llegaba a las inmediaciones del “Acceso Viamonte” para analizar si las condiciones del día permitían desarrollar nuestro evento semanal “La Reserva #59” de una manera segura y que permita proteger la salud e integridad de todos nuestros participantes.
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de ellos es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Como supimos informar durante la semana, el congreso del G20 se desarrollaba en la ciudad de Buenos Aires y debido a las limitaciones en el transporte público y restricciones de tránsito en el área de Puerto Madero, muchos de nuestros habituales participantes no pudieron acercarse a nuestro evento.
Igualmente, luego de haberse chequeado las condiciones
de nuestro “Recorrido Alternativo”, los participantes del día comenzaron a conglomerarse en nuestro punto de reunión y tras unas indicaciones y breves anuncios de seguridad de nuestro Director de la corrida, los participantes del día se dirigían a la zona de largada y tomaban posiciones
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal para facilitar a la seguridad de todos los participantes y además, porque de esta forma se puede asegurar el buen funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos
de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
En el día no contábamos con nuevos miembros, pero si varios de nuestros habituales participantes que no conocían nuestro “Recorrido Alternativo” por lo que Seb, que también actuaba como “Fiscalizador de Tiempos” del día, proporcionó unas últimas indicaciones y anuncios de seguridad; y 
al grito de 3….2…..1….. Yaaaa!!! todos los corredores del día se lanzaban a toda marcha
Walter se lanzaba a toda velocidad decidido imponer una buena marca en su primera participación en nuestro recorrido alternativo, seguido bien de cerca por Miguelangel, Nico y Marisa como primera de nuestras participantes femeninas.
Luego de surcar el tramo inicial de la prueba, nuestros participantes comenzaban a dispersarse en el campo y su paso, algunos de nuestros 
miembros y voluntarios los alentaban fervientemente.
Tai, una de nuestras participantes habituales, supo iniciar la prueba a un muy buen ritmo pero lamentablemente, sufrió algunas molestias abdominales y al no sentirse al 100%, decididó suspender su corrida y retornar a la base de operaciones para brindar una mano al equipo de voluntarios.
Y tras ubicarse estratégicamente en la zona de llegada, pudo obtener unas muy buenas placas de nuestros participantes cuando cruzaban la meta final. Que grande Tai. Esa es la actitud. Hay equipo!!
Walter y Miguelangel continuaban su corrida a todo vapor y un poco más rezagado, Norberto que había tenido algunas dificultades técnicas en la partida de la prueba, a un ritmo constante se acercaba a Nico intentando arrebatarle su lugar en el ultimo escalón de nuestro podio.
Debemos recordar a nuestros miembros que nuestros eventos son para todos y cualquiera puede participar. Nos encanta que los chicos y toda la familia participe, pero es muy importante que todo niño menor de 11 años se encuentre acompañado por un adulto responsable durante la totalidad de la prueba.
Mientras se desarrollaba la prueba nuestros voluntarios se acomodaban y preparaban la zona de llegada y, ya en la mitad de la prueba, las posiciones de punta se mantenían, Norberto ya había logrado sobrepasar a Nico y continuaba a 
tranco firme buscando obtener una nueva marca personal.
En el día, Walter se acercaba a la meta a todo vapor y cruzaba la meta final en primera posición. Y de cerca lo seguía Miguelangel que cruzaba la meta en 23:34. Felicitaciones muchachos. Un gran debut en nuestro “Recorrido Alternativo”. Gran corrida y excelente performance! Vamos por más chicos.
En el día gozábamos con unas excelentes condiciones para correr y eso pudo notarse en las buenas marcas conseguidas, y para no desentonar con sus colegas, Norberto finalizaba su prueba y conseguía un nuevo y grandioso PB de 24:07, lo que significaba una mejora de 1:21 minutos con respecto a su anterior mejor tiempo corriendo por fuera de “La Reserva”. Que bien Norbert! Felicitaciones. Estás volando campeón!
Los participantes continuaban finalizando la prueba con muy buenos tiempos y mientras aguardábamos que todos terminaran su corrida, aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
Nico concluía su corrida en 25:20, y tras él, aproximándose a la meta a toda marcha, Maru cruzaba la línea de final como primera de nuestras participantes femeninas, marcando una mejora de más de 4 minutos en su anterior mejor marca en el recorrido alternativo (PB 28:00).
Felicitaciones a todos los participantes del 59vo evento de BATT Argentina”. Miembros, participantes, amigos, corredores y voluntarios que se han desempeñado de una manera extraordinaria.

Posteriormente, algunos de los participantes del evento se reunieron en un after a las afueras de “La Reserva” para distenderse y pasar un grato momento con otros miembros. Y luego, entre otras cosas nos organizamos para ir de visita a los 21K de La Plata al día siguiente acompañando a varios de nuestros otros miembros que estarían corriendo.
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.
Les deseamos una excelente semana y los esperamos a todos el próximo sábado para compartir otra grandiosa corrida en “La Reserva”.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #59” – Run Report (01/12/2018)
No matter the wind, nor the rain. Not even the G20 can stop us …
Saturday once again and from early hours the volunteers Team of BATT Argentina arrived to our venue to evaluate the conditions and start with all the preparations and the necessary safety checks to be able to develop our weekly event “La Reserva #59” protecting the heath and integrity of all our participants.
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
As we managed to inform during the week, the G20 Summit was developing in the city and because of all the limitations in the public transport and the restrictions in the Puerto Madero area, quite a few of our regular participants weren’t able to attend to our event.
In addition, after finishing the safety check of our “Back-Up Course”, some members and participants started to get together in the proximities of the “Acceso Viamonte” and after hearing some short indications and safety tips from our Run Director of the day, all the day participants started their journey to the starting area and got ready to rumble.
Our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
No new participants on the day, but there was quite a few of our regular ones, running for the first time in our “Back-Up course” so Seb, that also was Timing the run on the day, gave some detailed explanations and security tips to all, and after the usual READY …. SET …. GOOOO!! All our participants started the first section of the trail at full throttle.
Walter started the event incredibly fast, very determined to impose a great mark on his debut over this course; closely followed by Miguelangel, Nico and Marisa as the first of our female athletes.
After a wonderful start, our participants started to accommodate themselves on the field while volunteers and members were cheering enthusiastically.
Tai, one of our most regular participants, started at a really nice rhythm but unfortunately started to suffer some tightness in her abs and decided not to finish her run; returning back to base to give a hand to the volunteers’ team.
Later on, after positioning herself strategically on the finishing area, she managed to take some brilliant photos of all our participants crossing the goal. What a star! Thanks Tai! That’s the spirit!
Walter and Miguelangel continued their runs at a very intense rhythm and a bit further back on the field, Norberto that experienced some technical difficulties at the start, was getting close to Nico at a very consistent rhythm, trying to surpass him and take the final spot of our podium.
We must emphasise to our members that all our events are for everyone and that anyone can participate in them. We loved to have children among our members so the whole family can participate, but it is imperative that any child under the age of 11 years old, is accompanied at all times during the completion of our course.
In the meantime, the volunteers Team was taking positions and finished setting up the finishing area so, already in the middle of the run, the leaders were still there, while Norberto had already managed to overcome Nico and was still running at a very solid pace looking for a new best time.
On the day, Walter was approaching the goal at full speed and gained the first position, closely followed by Miguelangel that managed to cross the finish line in 23:34. Congrats guys. A great debut in our “Back-Up course”. An excellent run with a great performance! Keep it up Champs.
With excellent running conditions on the day, we were enjoying great times from our runners, and not willing to step aside, Norberto cross the finish line and managed a brand new brilliant PB of 24:07. An improvement of 1:21 minutes over his previous best time running outside “La Reserva”. Wow mate!! You’ve done Great! Big congrats …
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times and, as we were waiting the rest of the participants to finish; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
Nico clocked 25:20, and after him, approaching the goal at a wonderful pace, it was Maru that managed to crossed the finish line as the first of the ladies with an incredible improvement of more than 4 minutes against her previous best mark in our backup course (PB 28:00).
Many congrats for all the participants of the 59th event of BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Members, participants, friends, runners and volunteers have been amazing and very important part of this wonderful experience.

And afterwards, some of us got together and spent some time in an “after” outside “La Reserva” to chill have a relaxing time between the different BATT Argentina members. And then, we managed to organise ourselves our visit to the “La Plata 21K” the following day.
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
