21 Nov BATT Argentina “La Reserva #57” – Reporte de la corrida (17/11/2018)
Llegaba el sábado, y Buenos Aires se despertaba con un gran cielo despejado y unas temperaturas casi perfectas para el desarrollo de nuestros cada vez más populares eventos de 5K Semanales en “La Reserva”.
Algunos de los voluntarios comenzaban con los 
preparativos y chequeos de seguridad necesarios para poder llevar a cabo nuestro evento #57 intentando conservar y proteger al máximo la seguridad de todos nuestros participantes, y siguiendo la rutina habitual, desde tempranas horas, el resto equipo de voluntarios de BATT Argentina y diversos participantes del día se agrupaban en nuestro “Punto de Encuentro”.
Nuestro voluntario encargado conversaba y brindaba algunos consejos de seguridad a aquellos miembros que nos visitaban por primera vez; para así conocerlos y poder tomar todos los recaudos necesarios para mantener su seguridad.
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de nuestros miembros es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Hay tareas muy divertidas y no necesariamente hay que dejar de participar en nuestras corridas. Se puede ayudar sacando fotos, marcando posiciones, escribiendo nuestro Reporte de la corrida, etc.
La seguridad de los participantes es fundamental en los eventos de BATT Argentina y como es su costumbre, nuestro Director de la corrida brindó unos cortos anuncios 
generales, recordó algunas marcas especiales que se estaban celebrando en el día y por un descuido, no recordó la bien merecida ronda de aplausos para todos los voluntarios (Lu – Maru – Pato – Maga – Andy – Rodri – Facu – Seb)
Recordamos a todos nuestros miembros que en nuestro equipo de voluntarios existen varias posiciones que se encuentran libres para las próximas semanas. Por lo que se les agradecerá mucho a todos aquellos que se encuentran interesados en participar en los eventos brindando algún tipo de apoyo especial

“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal porque de esta forma se puede asegurar el buen funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
Luego de la charla de seguridad inicial, se 
encontraba todo listo para comenzar la corrida. Los voluntarios se acomodaban y los participantes se dirigían a la zona de partida para tomar posiciones.
Lucia, una de nuestras Fiscalizadoras de Tiempos del día, proporcionaba nos últimos anuncios de seguridad y al grito de 3….2…..1….. Yaaaa!!! Nuestros corredores emprendieron la 
marcha y rápidamente se esparcían por nuestro recorrido..
Walter, Ema y Facu partían a toda velocidad y rápidamente dejaban en claro que nuestro podio sería disputado entre ellos.
Bien de cerca se aproximaba la primera de nuestras participantes femeninas, Ash; que se encontraba liderando el segundo grupo de participantes seguida bien de cerca por Miguelangel, Norberto, Sebas y Nico.
Los seguían un gran número 
participantes y al final de todos, protegiendo la seguridad de todos, en el día contábamos con Rodrigo en la función de “Voluntario de Cola” Muchas gracias Rodri! Un valioso aporte a nuestra comunidad de amigos.
Debemos recordar a nuestros miembros que nuestros eventos son para todos y cualquiera puede participar. Nos encanta que los chicos y toda la familia participe, pero es muy importante que todo niño menor de 11 años se encuentre acompañado por un adulto responsable durante la totalidad de la prueba.
Luego de conseguir algunas muy buenas tomas de nuestros participantes en la parte inicial del recorrido, Andy se dirigió a la intersección de la Rivera para obtener placas en la parte media de la prueba y todos los
demás voluntarios del día se dirigían a la zona de llegada y preparaban todas las indicaciones y señales necesarias.
Ya a mitad de camino, Facu se mantenía en la Punta, seguido bien de cerca por Walter, que supo desarrollar una excelente corrida donde pudo mantener un ritmo muy homogéneo durante la totalidad de la prueba. Fuerte hasta el final.
Asimismo, ya con Norberto y Nico un poco más rezagados; en la mitad de la corrida se desarrollaba una intensa batalla entre Ema y Miguelangel por alcanzar el último escalón del podio.
Andy supo capturar unas espectaculares imágenes de los distintos participantes en la parte media del recorrido y en sus caras podemos observar un claro reflejo del sentimiento general que despiertan nuestros eventos en todos ellos.
Un gran evento y en el día, el primer participante en concluir el recorrido fue Facu; que 
una vez más subía al tope de nuestro podio con un nuevo PB de 19:33. Tras un brillante Sprint Final, nuestro colega conseguía así su primer sub-20min en el recorrido de “La Reserva”. Grandioso tiempo. Felicitaciones Champ!
La corrida proseguía y Walter conseguía el segundo puesto finalizando la prueba también con una excelente performance y logrando luego de tres veces igualando su marca personal de 21:05, quebrar 
la marca de los 21 minutos al cruzar la línea final en 20:21 (Gran PB). Genial campeón. Se notan los beneficios de su training en la Altura de Cuzco. Felicitaciones y vamos por más!!
La batalla por el tercer puesto continuaba hasta las últimas instancias. Y en esta oportunidad fue Ema quien supo administrar sus energías un poco mejor, lo que le permitió desarrollar un gran sprint final y así consolidar su posición sobre Miguelangel. Gran corrida muchachos. Felicitaciones a ambos que consiguieron brillantes PBs, cruzando la meta en 23:50 y 24:10 respectivamente. Que grandiosa prueba. Felicitaciones a ambos. Gran espíritu de competencia.
Los grandiosos tiempos continuaban y era el turno de Norberto que no lograba superar su anterior marca personal por unos meros 2 segundos al finalizar en 25:05, seguido de cerca por Nico que, tras unas semanas alejado de nuestras corridas, lograba concluir su tercera prueba con BATT Argentina en 25:58. Un nuevo PB con una mejora de 41 segundos sobre su anterior mejor marca. Que gran esfuerzo muchachos. Vamos por todo!
Y bien de cerca, se aproximaba a la meta Ash, como primera de las chicas y que, dando 
su vuelta a un tranco sólido conseguía un nuevo y brillante PB de 26:26. Que genia! Una excelente prueba y más que entretenida!
Todos los participantes se acercaban al final y cruzaban la meta con muy buenos tiempos y mientras aguardábamos por Rodrigo, nuestro genial Voluntario de cola del día, como es la costumbre, los demás participantes aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
En el día, pudimos registrar seis nuevos magníficos PBs y mientras comenzábamos los preparativos para concluir el evento, podíamos escuchar y apreciarlas historias, 
comentarios y bromas de nuestros miembros.
Y al final, se aproximaban a la meta Bettina y Mireya que, con una fuerte arremetida final, lograba aventajar a su compañera y cruzaba la meta en 37:50. Y para concluir, nuestro gran fotógrafo del día Andy, retornaba a la base acompañando a Rodri para concluir otro fantástico evento en “La Reserva”.
Un muy fuerte aplauso para Rodrigo por su gran 
aporte a la seguridad de nuestros participantes. Un Genio!

“Otra gran experiencia en “La Reserva”; nuestro equipo y los eventos cada vez se encuentran más sólidos y continuamos sumando adeptos”
Posteriormente, algunos de los participantes del evento se reunieron en un after a las afueras de “La Reserva” para distenderse y celebrar el cumpleaños de Seb. Y luego, entre otras cosas pudimos organizar la visita del equipo a los 8K de “La Noctura de BA” a la noche del sábado, los 12K de “La Boca” el domingo y los 10K de “La vuelta de Boedo” que se celebraban el lunes.
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.
Les deseamos una excelente semana y los esperamos a todos el próximo sábado para compartir otra grandiosa corrida en “La Reserva”.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #57” – Run Report (17/11/2018)
Saturday arrived and Buenos Aires was waking with clear blue skies and an almost perfect weather conditions for the development of our popular weekly, free & timed 5K runs in “La Reserva”
A few of our volunteers were starting setting up theequipments and making all the necessary safety checks to be able to develop our 57th event in the safest way possible for all our participants so, following our usual routine, from early hours, the rest of the BATT Argentina volunteers team, members and a few participants started to get together in our “Meeting Point” area.
Our designated volunteer started briefing the first timers, to start getting to know them, be able to take in consideration their conditions and also, asses if any health and safety issue might be taken into consideration.
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
There are very enjoyable tasks and there’s no need of missing your weekly run. You can bring a hand taking photographs, checking positions or writing our weekly Run Report between other interesting processes.
Health & Safety of all our participants is key in all the BATT Argentina events so, as usual, our Run Director provided some general announcements and safety tips for all the 
participants, made some special mentions for members achieving some very important landmarks and committing and unforgivable mistake, he forgot to call for a big & warm round of applauses for all the day volunteers (Maru, Lu, Pato, Maga, Andy, Rodri, Facu & Seb).
For the next few Saturdays, there are still a few empty volunteering roles; so it would be hugely appreciated if you can let us know if you are interested in participating in any of our next events providing any kind of support.

“YOUR HELP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
Our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
The BATT Argentina Team got into action and the volunteers started taking their positions. All the day participants started their journey to the starting area and quickly settle places on the starting line.
Pato, Maga and Andy were positioning themselves in different parts of the course to take some good pics of our runners through their runs, while Lucia, one of our day Timers, provided some last-minute tips and safety advises to our participants.
Everybody was ready for action. Ready….. Set …. Gooooooo!! And all our participants started their trials at full throttle.
Ema, Facu and Walter started at a very fast pace and quickly stablish a clear margin against the rest of the flock.
Following quite close, the first of our female athletes, Ash was leading the second group of runners and was being chased narrowly by Norberto, Miguelangel, Sebas and Nico.
And then, a great number of varied participants completed the field, with Rodrigo taking charge of the “Tale Volunteer” position on the day, checking and controlling the safety of all our participants over their whole run. Thanks a mill Rodri! A very valuable asset of our community!!
We must emphasize to our members that all our events are for everyone and that anyone can participate in them. We loved to have children among our members so the whole family can participate, but it is imperative that any child under the age of 11 years old, is accompanied at all times during the completion of our course.
After capturing some good shots of our members in the initial section of the course, Andy went to the “Riverside intersection” to get some pictures of the participants while they were crossing the middle part of their runs, and in the meantime, the rest of the volunteers were completing the setting up of the “finishing area”.
Through the middle of their runs, Facu was still on the lead, closely followed by Walter that was performing brilliantly keeping an intense pace over the whole course. Strong until the end.
In addition, with Nico and Norberto a bit more relegated, the battle for the third step of our podium was intensifying between Miguelangel and Ema.
Very well positioned, Andy was managing to capture beautiful images of the different members during their runs. Pictures that provide a clear glimpse of the general feeling that our events generate in our participants.
We had the chance to live another wonderful event, and the first one to conclude his run was Facu, achieving once again the top position and continuing with his great series of PBs. After a brilliant Sprint finish, our colleague managed his first sub-20min in “La Reserva” after crossing the finish line in 19:33. What a great time mate. Big Congrats!
Also performing incredibly well, Walter arrived in second with a great PB, after having concluded his runs three times in 21:05. This time, he clocked 20:21 and managed to get under 21 minutes for the first time. Great PB Walter. The benefits from your altitude training in Cuzco are starting to pay the dividends. Big congrats and keep pushing mate!
The battle for the third position kept going almost till the end. And on this occasion was Ema the one that managed to kept some energy for the end, developing an impressive Sprint Finish to consolidate his position over Miguelangel. What a great run guys. Congrats to both for gaining two brilliant new PBs, clocking 23:50 and 24:10 respectively. What a wonderful run. Congrats to both. Really true competitive spirit.
The great times continued and was the turn of Norberto, that didn’t managed to surpass his previous best mark by mere 2 seconds finishing in 25:05, closely followed by Nico, that after missing a few events, managed to conclude his third run with the BATT Argentina community in 25:58. A brand new PB with an improvement of 41 seconds over his previous best mark. Great effort guys. Let’s keep it up!
Just a few seconds later, Ash was our first female participant approaching the finishing area, and with a solid run, managed to gain a wonderful new PB of 26:26. Great improvement Ash! Big congrats. What an exciting run!
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times and, as we were waiting for Rodrigo, our fantastic Tale Volunteer on the day; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
On the day we registered 6 magnificent PBs and, as we were waiting on the finishing area we could hear and appreciate the stories, jokes and laughs of all our finishers.
Close to the end, Bettina and Mireya were getting close and managed to conclude their runs together in 37:50. Closely followed by our great photographer Andy, that was accompanying Rodri to conclude another brilliant event in “La Reserva”.
A big applause to Rodrigo for her valuable support and help to monitor the health and safety of all our participants.
Many congrats for all the participants of the 57th event of BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Members, participants, friends, runners and volunteers have been amazing and very important part of this wonderful experience.

And afterwards, some of us got together and spent some time in an “after” outside “La Reserva” to chill and celebrate Seb’s birthday. And then, between other things, organise ourselves our visit to “La Nocturna de BA 8K” on Saturday night, to “La Boca 12K” on Sunday and also to “La Vuelta de Boedo 10K” to be celebrated on Monday
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
