Llegamos al sábado y el equipo de Voluntarios de BATT Argentina llegaba a “La Reserva” para comenzar con todos los preparativos, chequeos y recaudos de seguridad necesarios y para poder desarrollar el evento #55 de BATT Argentina.
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de nuestros miembros es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Hay tareas muy divertidas y no necesariamente hay que dejar de participar en nuestras corridas. Se puede ayudar sacando fotos, marcando posiciones, escribiendo nuestro Reporte de la corrida, etc.
Una gloriosa mañana y ya desde temprano, los
voluntarios y participantes del día se agrupaban en nuestro “Punto de Encuentro”. Nuestro voluntario encargado conversaba y brindaba algunos consejos de seguridad a aquellos miembros que nos visitaban por primera vez; para así conocerlos y poder tomar todos los recaudos necesarios para mantener su seguridad.
En el día contábamos con tres nuevos miembros que participaban por primera vez. Con Carina, Eduardo y Miguelangel.
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal porque de esta forma se puede asegurar el buen funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
La seguridad de los participantes es fundamental en los eventos de BATT Argentina y
como es su costumbre, nuestro Director de la corrida brindó unos cortos anuncios generales, algunos consejos para el cuidado de los participantes y llamó a una fuerte ronda de aplausos para para todos los voluntarios (Agus, Su, Crissie, Facu y Seb)
Debemos recordar a nuestros miembros que nuestros eventos son para TODOS y cualquiera puede participar. Nos encanta que los chicos y toda la familia participe, pero es muy importante que todo niño menor de 11 años se encuentre acompañado por un adulto responsable durante la totalidad del Recorrido.
Para las próximas semanas existen varias posiciones de voluntariado que se encuentran libres. Por lo que se les agradecerá mucho a todos aquellos que se encuentran interesados en participar en los eventos brindando algún tipo de apoyo especial

“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
El equipo de voluntarios tomaba posiciones, y los participantes comenzaban su trayecto hacia la línea de largada y se acomodaban en
la partida.
Susana se posicionaba para tomar fotografías de nuestros corredores en la parte media de la corrida, mientras Agus, uno de nuestros fiscalizadores de tiempos del día, brindaba unas últimas indicaciones y consejos de seguridad a los participantes mientras los mismos se acomodaban en la “Largada”.
Previo al comienzo de la prueba podíamos evidenciar la tensión entre nuestros miembros que ansiosos aguardaban el anuncio de partida.
Todos preparados y al grito de 3….2…..1….. Yaaaa!!! Todos nuestros participantes arremetían a gran velocidad en la primera
recta del recorrido.
Como una tromba, los participantes de punta rápidamente lograron establecer una diferencia y consolidaron el liderazgo. Eduardo, uno de nuestros nuevos participantes, aprovechaba su visita a nuestra ciudad y desde el inicio supo dejar bien en claro que se encontraba decidido a conseguir nuestro podio antes de regresar a su tan querido Chile.
Y bien de cerca lo seguían Néstor, Dickson y Facu intentando dificultarle la tarea a
nuestro compañero trans Andino.
Asimismo, siguiéndolos bien de cerca se encontraban algunas de las participantes femeninas, luego el resto del malón completaba la caravana de corredores; y como es su costumbre, nuestra valiosa voluntaria de Cola, Crissie, desde la retaguardia se encargaba de monitorear la seguridad de todos los participantes durante todo el desarrollo de la corrida.
Nuevamente, gozábamos de unas fantásticas condiciones climáticas y sin ninguna complicación u obstáculos en nuestro “Recorrido”; nuestros voluntarios comenzaban a preparar la zona de llegada aguardando ansiosos el arribo de nuestros primeros participantes.
Ya a mitad de camino, nuestros líderes mantenían un intenso trajín. Su supo capturar unas espectaculares imágenes de los distintos participantes
y en sus caras podemos observar un claro reflejo del sentimiento general que despiertan nuestros eventos en todos ellos.
Por otro lado, ya en nuestra base, Seb se encargaba de finalizar los últimos retoques en la zona de llegada para dar la bienvenida a nuestros primeros corredores. Agus tomaba las riendas como Gerente de Datos, y Su se reacomodaba para poder capturar algunas imágenes de nuestros miembros concluyendo su corrida.
Y casi sin poder creerlo, cuando nuestro cronometro apenas indicaba los 15:00 minutos,
acercándose a la meta a toda velocidad, podíamos evidenciar la silueta de Eduardo solitario en la delantera.
Una maravillosa primera corrida con el equipo de BATT Argentina, logrando finalizar la prueba con una excelente marca de 16:58. Que gran performance Eduardo! Una excelente prueba campeón!
Nuestro amigo chileno, posteriormente nos comento acerca de haber realizado algunas pruebas en “La Reserva” durante la semana, pero sin lugar a dudas. Fue un maravilloso desempeño y aguardamos poder contar con tu presencia en nuestros eventos en alguna de tus futuras visitas a nuestra linda ciudad.
En segundo lugar, y continuando con un brillante plan de recuperación, cruzaba la línea final Néstor con un tiempazo de 18:15 seguido por Facu que conseguía un segundo PB consecutivo terminando la prueba en 20:27. Felicitaciones muchachos. Que grandes marcas! Vamos por más!
Los distintos miembros iban arribando a la meta desarrollando excelentes tiempos y en el día, la primera se las participantes femeninas en cruzar la meta fue Lucia con un tiempo de 28:44. Bien hecho Lu!
La seguía bien de cerca por Pato que lograba mejorar su mejor tiempo por más de treinta segundos, logrando así completar la prueba por debajo de los 29 minutos por
primera vez. Y al poco tiempo, finalizaban la corrida conjuntamente Ingrid y Tai. Felicitaciones chicas! Muy buenos tiempos. Una consistente mejora continua. Estamos por la buena senda. Vamos por mas Chicas!!
Como es habitual en todos nuestros eventos, mientras
aguardábamos que todos los participantes del día completaran la prueba, los demás participantes aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
Finalmente, arribaban a la meta Cynthia y nuestra nueva amiga Carina que completaban la prueba en 36:13 & 36:14 respectivamente. Y mientras aguardábamos a nuestra voluntaria de Cola, Crissie, conversábamos con los participantes y
nos cerciorábamos de que no habrían tenido ninguna dificultad durante el evento.
Un muy fuerte aplauso para Crissie por su gran aporte a la seguridad de nuestros participantes. Una Genia!
En el día, pudimos registrar cuatro nuevos magníficos PBs y mientras comenzábamos los preparativos para concluir el evento, podíamos escuchar y apreciarlas historias, comentarios y bromas de nuestros miembros.
Felicitaciones a todos los participantes del evento 55 de BATT Argentina en “La Reserva”. Miembros, participantes, amigos, corredores y voluntarios que se han desempeñado de una manera extraordinaria.

Posteriormente, algunos de los participantes del evento se reunieron en un after a las afueras de “La Reserva” para descansar y socializar, y donde entre otras cosas, pudimos organizar nuestra visita a los 10K que se celebraban el domingo en el circuito de Costanera Sur.
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.
Les deseamos una excelente semana y los esperamos a todos el próximo sábado para compartir otra grandiosa corrida en “La Reserva”.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #55” – Run Report (03/11/2018)
It was Saturday once again in “La Reserva” and the BATT Argentina Volunteers Team arrived to our venue to start with all the preparations and necessary security measures and checks to be able to carry on with our 55th Event in Buenos Aires.
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
There are very enjoyable tasks and there’s no need of missing your weekly run. You can bring a hand taking photographs, checking positions or writing our weekly Run Report between other interesting processes.
A glorious morning and volunteers, participants and
members started to get together in our “Meeting Point” area. Our designated volunteer started briefing the first timers, to start getting to know them, be able to take in consideration their conditions and also, asses if any health and safety issue might be taken into consideration.
On the day, there was three new members participating and enjoying our course the for the first time. We welcome Carina, Eduardo and Miguelangel.
Our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
Health & Safety of all our participants is key in all the BATT Argentina events so, as usual, our Run Director provided some general announcements and safety tips for all the participants, made some special mentions for members achieving some very important landmarks and committing and unforgivable mistake, he forgot to call for a big & warm round of applause for all the day volunteers (Agus, Su, Crissie, Facu & Seb).
We must emphasize to our members that all our events are for EVERYONE and that anyone can participate in them. We loved to have children among our members so the whole family can participate, but it is imperative that any child under the age of 11 years old, is accompanied at all times during the completion of our course.
For the next few Saturdays, there are still a few empty volunteering roles; so it would be hugely appreciated if you can let us know if you are interested in participating in any of our next events providing any kind of support.

“YOUR HELP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
The BATT Argentina Team got into action and the volunteers started taking their positions. All the day participants started their journey to the starting area and quickly settle places on the starting line.
Susana was positioning herself in the middle part of the course to take some good pics of our runners through their runs, while Agus, one of our day Timers, was providing some last minute tips and safety advises to our participants while they were locating themselves behind the starting line.
Previous to the initial signal, we could notice that there was tension and a lot of expectations in the air between our anxious members.
Everybody was ready for action. Ready….. Set …. Gooooooo!! And all our participants started at full speed through the first metres of our course.
Very quickly, the leading participants made an interesting gap and secured their places at the top. Eduardo, one of our First Timers, was making the most of his stay in Buenos Aires and clearly let us know from the start that he was very determined to achieve the top of our podium before returning to his beloved Chile.
Following very closely, there was Nestor, Dickson and Facu intending to make it hard for our close Trans Andenian friend.
In addition, also maintaining themselves quite closely, there was a few of our female participants, followed by the rest of the flock composed by a varied bunch of participants.
Back at the end of the pack, Crissie was once again checking and controlling the safety of all our participants over the hole run.
Wonderful running conditions on the day once again and, without any impairments or obstacles on the course, our volunteers started setting up the “Finishing Area” and were waiting anxiously our first participants to arrive.
Over the middle of the run, the leading participants kept a very fast pace. Su managed to capture some beautiful images of the different members during their runs. Pictures that provide a clear glimpse of the general feeling that our events generate in our participants.
Back at our Base. Seb managed to finish with the last details in the finishing area to welcome our first runners. Agus was ready as Data Manager, and Su was repositioning herself to be able to capture beautiful images of our participants in the closing moments of their runs.
And to everyone surprise, just after crossing the 15:00min mark, approaching the finish line at an incredibly fast rhythm, we could start seeing Eduardo’s silhouette alone in the lead.
A fantastic first run with the BATT Argentina Team, managing to clock an astonishing time of 16:58. What an extraordinary performance Eduardo! Well done champ!
Afterwards, our Chilean friend told us that he’s been having some runs in “La Reserva” during the week, but without any doubts was an excellent performance. Very well done Eduardo, and we hope to have you in next events during your future visits to our lovely city.
In second place, continuing with a brilliant recovery plan after his accident, it was the turn of Nestor to cross the finish line in 18:05, closely followed by Facu, that was managing to get a consecutive PB of 20:27. Big Congrats guys! Wonderful times!
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times, and the first Lady to conclude her run was Lucia with a time of 28:44. Well done Lu!
She was closely followed by Pato that on the day managed to improve her best mark by more than half a minute, concluding her run below the 29:00min mark for the first time. Closely followed by Tai and Ingrid that were running together on the day. Congratulations ladies! Great times. A consistent continuous improvement. Keep it up girls!
As we are used to do in all our events, while waitingfor all our runners to complete their runs; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
And finally, crossing the goal was Cynthia and our new friend Carina concluding their runs in 36:13 and 36:14 respectively. And, as we were waiting for our fabulous Tale Volunteer, Crissie, we conversated with the different participants to check and know more about the development of the event.
A big applause to Crissie for her valuable support and help to monitor the health and safety of all our participants.
On the day we registered 4 magnificent PBs and, as we were waiting on the finishing area we could hear and appreciate the stories, jokes and laughs of all our finishers.
Many congrats for all the participants of the 55th event of BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Members, participants, friends, runners and volunteers have been amazing and very important part of this wonderful experience.

“Another great experience in” La Reserva “; our team and the events are becoming more solid and we continue to add participants”
And afterwards, some of us got together and spent some time in an “after” outside “La Reserva” to chill a bit and relax. A wonderful gathering with quite a few of our friendly members where, between other things, we organised our visit to the 10K race celebrated on Sunday in Costanera Sur.
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
