30 Oct BATT Argentina “La Reserva #54” – Reporte de la corrida (27/10/2018)
Finalmente llegaba el sábado y el equipo de Voluntarios de BATT Argentina comenzaba con todos los preparativos y chequeos de seguridad necesarios para poder llevar a cabo nuestro evento #54 en “La Reserva”.
Una gloriosa mañana y ya desde temprano, los voluntarios 
y participantes del día se agrupaban en nuestro “Punto de Encuentro”. Nuestro voluntario encargado conversaba y brindaba algunos consejos de seguridad a aquellos miembros que nos visitaban por primera vez; para así conocerlos y poder tomar todos los recaudos necesarios para mantener su seguridad.
Nuestros eventos empiezan a popularizarse y debemos recordarles a todos la importancia de contar con su Tarjeta y Código Personal porque de esta forma se puede asegurar el buen funcionamiento de todos nuestros procesos de registro de tiempos para todos los participantes.
En el día, estábamos celebrando nuestro primer año de corridas Semanales, Gratis y con Registro de Tiempos para Todos en “La Reserva” por lo que nuestro equipo de voluntarios brindo algunas importantes marcas y menciones para todos los participantes.
- Mayor número de Corridas: 1) Guille (22), 2) Sebas (17) y 3) Dickson, JuanJo & Ezequiel (16)
- Mayor número de eventos como Voluntario: 1) Seb (53), 2) Agus (25) y 3) Vicky (16) con especiales menciones para Carlos (12), Zully (11) y Pato y Néstor (9).
La seguridad de los participantes es fundamental en los eventos de BATT Argentina y como es su costumbre, nuestro Director de la corrida brindó unos cortos anuncios generales, algunos consejos para el cuidado de los participantes y llamó a una fuerte ronda de aplausos para para todos los voluntarios (Crissie, Lucia, Rodrigo, Andy y Seb)
Todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de nuestros miembros es un vital participante. Los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.
“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”
Hay tareas muy divertidas y no necesariamente hay que dejar de participar en nuestras corridas. Se puede ayudar sacando fotos, marcando posiciones, escribiendo nuestro Reporte de la corrida, etc.
Recordamos a todos nuestros miembros que en nuestro equipo de voluntarios existen varias posiciones que se encuentran libres para las próximas semanas. Por lo que se les agradecerá mucho a todos aquellos que se encuentran interesados en participar en los eventos brindando algún tipo de apoyo especial

“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
El equipo de voluntarios tomaba posiciones,
y los participantes comenzaban su trayecto hacia la línea de largada y se acomodaban en la partida. Andy y Rodrigo se 
posicionaban estratégicamente para tomar fotografías de nuestros corredores en la parte media de la corrida, mientras Lucia, uno de nuestros fiscalizadores de Tiempos del día brindaba unas últimas indicaciones y consejos de seguridad a los participantes.
Todos preparados y al grito de 3….2…..1….. 
Yaaaa!!! Todos nuestros participantes emprendieron la marcha a todo vapor.
Muy rápidamente los participantes masculinos consolidaron su lugar en la punta muy decididos a asegurar un podio masculino luego de haber compartido el mismo en nuestras últimas corridas. Y muy de cerca los perseguía un variado grupo con participantes nuevos y también varios de los más 
recurrentes.
Nuevamente, gozábamos de unas fantásticas condiciones climáticas y sin ninguna complicación u obstáculos en nuestro “Recorrido”; nuestros voluntarios comenzaban a preparar la zona de llegada y muy ansiosos aguardaban el arribo de nuestros primeros participantes.
En la retaguardia del malón, se encontraba Cris que, identificada como Voluntaria de Cola, se encargaba de monitorear la seguridad de todos
los participantes durante todo el desarrollo de la corrida.
En el día contábamos con 3 nuevos participantes muy decididos a sortear nuestros 5K semanales por primera vez, lanzándose muy entusiasmados a completar los senderos de nuestra querida reserva ecológica.
Ema, Facu, Dickson y Néstor se encontraban ya en la mitad de nuestro curso; donde 
Andy y Rodrigo supieron obtener una muy buenas placas de nuestros corredores mientras transitaban por esa área. En sus caras podemos observar un claro reflejo del sentimiento general que despiertan nuestros eventos en todos nuestros participantes.
Asimismo, ya en nuestra base, Rodrigo tomaba las riendas como Gerente de Datos, Lucia y Seb fiscalizaban los tiempos y Andy tomaba una nueva posición como marcador de posiciones para ordenar a los participantes a medida que fuera concluyendo
su corrida.
Una gran corrida y en el día, y el primero en cruzar la línea final era Facu con un gran tiempo. Un nuevo PB de 20:52 que le permitía obtener el tope de nuestro podio, significando una mejora de 39 segundos con respecto a su anterior mejor marca. Felicidades Master. Sigamos con la buena racha!
En segundo puesto cruzaba nuestra meta Néstor, quien luego de su accidente muestra que muy rápidamente se encuentra recuperando su forma. Grande Campeón! Un gran luchador. Que seguramente volverá a buscar nuevas marcas y premios en el corto plazo.
Y siguiendo a Facu y Néstor, asegurando un nuevo podio masculino, el tercero en cruzar la línea de llegada fue Dickson que completaba su corrida con un gran tiempo de 22:46 y continuaba acercándose a sus grandes marcas personales.
Los distintos miembros iban arribando a la meta desarrollando excelentes tiempos, y la primera se las participantes femeninas en cruzar la meta, fue Ash con un tiempazo de 27:13 y ocupando la sexta posición. Felicitaciones Ash! Muy buena corrida…..
Como es la costumbre, mientras aguardábamos que todos los participantes del día llegaran a la meta, los demás participantes aprovechaban para distenderse en nuestra “Área de Reunión” donde se relajaban, elongaban músculos y compartían historias con otros miembros.
Finalmente, completando su primer evento con nosotros, 
arribaba a la meta nuestra nueva amiga Myriam que junto a Crissie completaba sus primeros 5K con BATT Argentina. Mil felicitaciones! Y muchas gracias por tus lindas palabras al finalizar el evento. Vamos por más! Y otro gran aplauso para Crissie por su gran aporte a la seguridad de nuestros participantes. Una Genia!
Debemos recordar a nuestros miembros que nuestros eventos son para TODOS y cualquiera puede participar. Nos encanta que los chicos y toda la familia participe, pero es muy importante que todo niño menor de 11 años se encuentre acompañado por un adulto responsable durante la totalidad del Recorrido.

“Otra gran experiencia en “La Reserva”; nuestro equipo y los eventos cada vez se encuentran más sólidos y continuamos sumando adeptos”
Posteriormente, algunos de los participantes del evento se reunieron en un after a las afueras de “La Reserva” para descansar y socializar, y celebrar el Primer Año de nuestras corridas semanales. Una tarde muy amena con varios de nuestros miembros y donde pudimos entre otras cosas, organizar nuestra visita a los 10K que se celebraban el domingo en Palermo.
Una mañana muy particular pero sumamente entretenida con toda la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes aporta su granito de arena y deja su marca. Una huella donde todos somos parte.
Les deseamos una excelente semana y los esperamos a todos el próximo sábado para compartir otra grandiosa corrida en “La Reserva”.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #54” – Run Report (27/10/2018)
It was Saturday finally and the BATT Argentina Team started with all the necessary security checks, signalling and equipment preparations for our 52nd event in Buenos Aires.
A glorious morning and volunteers, participants and members started to get together in our “Meeting Point” area. Our designated volunteer started briefing the first timers, to start getting to know them, be able to take in consideration their conditions and also, asses if any health and safety issue might be taken into consideration.
Luckily, our events are started to be a bit more popular and we must remember the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.
And this was a very special event. On the day, we were celebrating our first year of Weekly, Free & Timed 5K for Everyone in “La Reserva”, so our Volunteers Team provided some awards and special announcements for all our participants.

Health & Safety of all our participants is key in all the BATT Argentina events so, as usual, our Run Director provided some general announcements and safety tips for all the participants, made some special mentions for members achieving some very important landmarks and committing and unforgivable mistake, he forgot to call for a big & warm round of applauses for all the day volunteers (Crissie, Lucia, Rodrigo, Andy & Seb).
All our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.
“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”
There are very enjoyable tasks and there’s no need of missing your weekly run. You can bring a hand taking photographs, checking positions or writing our weekly Run Report between other interesting processes.
We must remember to all our members that there are still a few places to cover so for the next few Saturdays; so it would be hugely appreciated if you can let us know if you are interested in participating in any of our next events providing any kind of support.

“YOUR HELP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
The BATT Argentina Team got into action and the volunteers started taking their positions. All the day participants started their journey to the starting area and quickly settle places on the starting line.
Andy and Rodrigo were strategically located to take photographs of our members in the middle part of the running course, and in the meantime, Lucia that was one of our day Timers, was providing some last indications and safety tips to all the participants.
Everybody was ready for action. Ready….. Set …. Gooooooo!! And all our participants started their weekly run at full throttle.
Very quickly, our male participants consolidate a solid positions as the leading pack, very determined in securing a fully male podium after having shared it with the ladies on the last few events. And very closely, there was a quite varied group with some of the new participants and also a few of the more regular ones.
Wonderful running conditions on the day once again and, without any impairments or obstacles on the course, our volunteers started setting up the “Finishing Area” and were waiting anxiously our first participants to arrive.
Back at the end of the pack, Crissie was once again checking and controlling the safety of all our participants over the hole run.
On this occasion, there was 3 new members participating in our weekly 5K for the first time, and very enthusiastically were looking forward to complete the paths of our beloved “Reserva ecológica”.
Ema, Facu, Dickson and Nestor were already travelling through the middle part of the course, where Andy and Rodrigo managed to capture some fantastic pics of them during their runs. Providing a clear glimpse of the general feeling that our events generate in our participants.
Back at our Base. Rodrigo was in charge as Data Manager, Lucia and Seb were ready with their Timers and Andy continued taking some photos and was also preparing the position tokens for the participants.
A great run and on the day, and the first one to cross our finish line was Facu, with a marvellous time. A new PB of 20:52 that help him to reach the top of our podium and get an improvement of 39 seconds against his previous best mark. Congrats mate! A great trend of good results!
In second place was Nestor, proving a great recovery after his accident. Congratulations Champ!! An awesome recovery. You’ll be chasing PBs and Prizes very soon. Keep it up with the great work!
And following Facu and Nestor, and managing to secure a fully male podium, concluding his run in third place was Dickson with another great time of 22:46 y continuing to get closer to his best marks.
All the different participants continued reaching our base line with excellent times, and the first Lady to conclude her run was Ash, with an awesome time of 27:13 and obtaining the sixth position. Congratulations Ash! A very good performance …
On the day we registered 4 magnificent PBs and, as we were waiting on the finishing area we could hear and appreciate the stories, jokes and laughs of all our finishers
As we are used to do in all our events, while waiting for all our runners to complete their runs; runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.
And finally, completing her first event with us, Myriam arrived with Crissie, completing her first 5K with BATT Argentina in “La Reserva”. Big congrats Myriam! And thank you for your kind words at the end of the event. And also a big applause to Crissie for her valuable support and help to monitor the health and safety of all our participants. What a Super-Star Crissie!
We must emphasize to our members that all our events are for EVERYONE and that anyone can participate in them. We loved to have children among our members so the whole family can participate, but it is imperative that any child under the age of 11 years old, is accompanied at all times during the completion of our course.

“Another great experience in” La Reserva “; our team and the events are becoming more solid and we continue to add participants”
And afterwards, some of us got together and spent some time in an “after” outside “La Reserva” to chill a bit and to celebrate our First Anniversary of weekly runs. A wonderful gathering with quite a few of our friendly members where, between other things, we organised our visit to the 10K race celebrated on Sunday in Palermo.
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
