“BATT Argentina ES LA CARA DE TODOS SUS PARTICIPANTES”

Genial campeón, poco a poco vamos recuperándonos.

Primer evento corriendo: Rodrigo

PBs: Ash (-0:18s); Taiana (-1:24); Lu (-0:05s); Marisa (-2:44); Marce (-1:31); Gaby (-2:38) y Mary (-0:13s)

From early hours on Saturday morning, the BATT Argentina Volunteers Team arrived to our venue to check that all the conditions of our course, prepare all the different signs and posts; and to ensure that all the safety procedures were in place to take care of the health and integrity of all our participants.

Volunteers and participants were getting together in our “Metting Point” area and our Run Director started with some general announcements.

In addition to these brief messages, Seb also provided some safety tips and also reinforced the importance of bringing your Personal BATT Argentina Card and Code, because this way, we can ensure the appropriate functioning of all our time registration processes for all the participants.

Concluding the speech, all together made a big round of applause for all the day volunteers (Lu – Dario – Nestor – Seb) and Seb made a general special inquire to everyone interested in participating in our events bringing any kind of helping hand.

It is very important to remember that all our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant. The BATT Argentina events are made between all of us.

“BATT Argentina IS THE FACE OF ALL ITS PARTICIPANTS”

All the day participants started their journey to the Starting area and quickly establish their positions. Our day Timer provided some brief last minute safety indications to all the participants, and after the initial shout ofReady ….. Set …. Gooooooo! A stampede of intrepid runners got in motion attacking our course.

Guille, Nestor and a bunch of girls started quite quickly and Apner, that commenced his run from the back, was slowly getting through our fields getting close to the leaders.

It was a day with a high percentage of humidity in the air, but thanks to a very mild and refreshing southern breeze, there were excellent conditions for running and there were great performances developing between our competitors.

Specially in the middle of the pack, with a numerous group of ladies running very determined to obtain new personal best times (PB).

There was no First Timers in our event #48, but we had a new Runner. Rodrigo was back again in “La Reserva”, as a runner this time. Performing his first attempt  in our course after volunteering as Data Manager in his first visit to the BATT Argentina events on the previous week.

Time was going by, and back on base, our volunteers’ team was completing with the setup of the finishing area and was anxiously awaiting for the arrival of the first participants.

And from the distance, they could visualize Apner, that after a brilliant performance arrived to the goal in first position. Well done Champ! A wonderful run of 18:24.

A little later, Nestor that was running in a “Relaxing Mode”, crossed the finish line in second place. Nestor was getting ready to perform in his first Half Marathon on the following day in the “Brandsen Half.

And concluding an extraordinary run, Guille crossed the line in 26:22 and obtained the last step of our podium, concluding his 20th run in “La Reserva” with the BATT Argentina Team. Well done mate, we are slowly recovering and getting closet to our times. We all wish you a prompt and full recovery.

After him, it was the turn of Norberto and the brilliant performances continue, as all the different members were concluding their runs.

Specially, some impressive performances made by our female competitors that managed a total of seven PBs on the day. Well done Girls! That’s Brilliant. Keep it up! And for the guys….. Its time to start paying attention. Come on!! This is not looking good!! Come on!! Hahah

And while waiting for all our runners to complete their runs, runners, volunteers and all the event participants were chilling in our “Meeting Point” area, where they were relaxing, stretching their muscles and sharing stories with the other members.

And at the back of the field, Mary crossed the finish line and completed her third run with us in “La Reserva” obtaining her third PB in a row. What a Super Star Mary!! Lets keep it up!

First running event: Rodrigo

PBs: Ash (-0:18s); Taiana (-1:24); Lu (-0:05s); Marisa (-2:44); Marce (-1:31); Gaby (-2:38) & Mary (-0:13s)

“Another great experience in” La Reserva “; our team and the events are becoming more solid and we continue to add participants”

Concluding the event, Lu was the lucky winner of the raffle, and very kindly donated her prize, a brand new BATT Argentina T-Shirt, to Ash. What a lovey gesture Lu. Super star!! Thank you for all the magic that you bring to our weekly events.

And afterwards, most part of the group got together in an “after” outside “La Reserva” and some of us got organised to visit the “Carrera Verde 15K & 7K” in Puerto Madero the following day.

To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.

We hope you all have a great week and we look forward to see you all next Saturday to share another great morning.

Big Congrats to all our participants, Big Thanks to all the volunteers that helped on the day and we hope you all keep enjoying your running!!
