21 Aug BATT Argentina “La Reserva #44” – Reporte de la corrida (18/08/2018)
El fin de semana en Buenos Aires nos despertaba con una genial mañana y el equipo de voluntarios de BATT Argentina comenzó el operativo para preparar el evento luego de arribar a “La Reserva”.
Seb comenzó su vuelta de rutina para corroborar si las condiciones del terreno en nuestro recorrido eran propicias y seguras para el desarrollo de nuestra corrida. Muy pronto los participantes comenzaron a llegar a nuestro “Punto de Encuentro” y los voluntarios del día Su, Mary & Maby les daban la bienvenida a los participantes.
En el día contábamos con el retorno de Naty y Lean que buscaban completar su décima corrida en “La Reserva” y además, regresaba Jordy quien el día anterior había celebrado su cumpleaños.
Seb como director de la Corrida realizaba las indicaciones generales y tips de seguridad para todos los participantes y antes de partir hacia la largada, todos brindaron un fuerte aplauso para los voluntarios del día (Su, Mary, Maby y Seb)
Los distintos participantes del día se encaminaban hacia la zona de Largada y se acomodaban tras la línea de partida. Luego de unos breves mensajes de seguridad para los participantes, el Fiscalizador de tiempos daba el grito inicial y todos salían a toda marcha.
Apner partía a toda velocidad, retornando a nuestras corridas dispuesto a conseguir superar su marca anterior, mientras que Néstor, Walter y Jordy se disputaban la segunda posición.
Y siguiendo al grupo de líderes, en un segundo malón se agrupaban, Pato como primera de las chicas, José Luís, Sebas y Guille que buscaba completar su evento 18.
Completando una brillante corrida, Apner lograba finalizar en primer lugar con un gran tiempo de 18:08, mejorando su anterior marca personal por 1:24, mientras que luego de una intensa batalla que duro hasta las últimas instancias, Néstor lograba establecer unos metros de diferencia sobre Jordy en una fuerte arremetida final y así lograba el segundo puesto.
Asimismo, cerca del medio del pelotón, otro grupo de chicas conformado por Ash, Ingrid y Lu, finalizaban juntas una gran corrida con un tiempo muy respetable. Se debe tener en cuenta que las chicas se están preparando para participar en la media maratón de Buenos Aires a celebrarse el próximo domingo; y el entrenamiento y kilometraje semanal comienzan a sentirse. Muy buena suerte chicas!!
Una gran corrida en el día con excelentes condiciones y muy buenas actuaciones. Walter igualaba su mejor tiempo conseguido la semana anterior, Apner lograba mejorar su PB en 1:24 y Pato lograba un brillante PB de 2:07.
Además, en el día, dos participantes completaban nuestro recorrido por primera vez. Con Magali, que en las últimas semanas nos había brindado su ayuda como Gerenta de Datos, y Silvia. Ambas batallando hasta el final luego de haber sorteado nuestro pintoresco recorrido.
Asimismo, nuestro equipo de voluntarios continúa expandiéndose semana a semana. Esta semana dándole la bienvenida a Mary y Maby que, de una manera excepcional, ayudaron al desarrollo del evento y lograron darle su toque personal.
Es muy importante recordar que todos nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias al valioso aporte y voluntad de nuestros miembros. Todos y cada uno de nuestros miembros es un vital participante. Como bien nos dice Seb, los eventos de BATT Argentina los hacemos entre todos.

Finalizando la jornada, Néstor y Magali fueron las ganadoras de nuestro sorteo de remeras, y muy gentilmente, Magui dono su remera a Silvia. Excelente Actitud Magui. Una brillante muestra de compañerismo.
En resumen, fue una excelente mañana con la familia de BATT Argentina, donde todos y cada uno de los participantes dejó su granito de arena. Una huella donde todos somos parte.

Para concluir la mañana, nos reunimos a las afueras de “La Reserva” para celebrar los cumpleaños de Pato y Jordy. Otra gran experiencia de toda la comunidad de BATT Argentina

BATT Argentina – Run Report – “La Reserva #44” (18/08/2018)
The weekend started in Buenos Aires with a great morning and the Volunteers Team of BATT Argentina commenced the operations to set up the event soon after arriving to “La Reserva”
Seb started the “course” checking lap to verify that all the safety conditions were in place to be able to develop our weekly run; the different participants and volunteers started to join together in our “Meeting Point” while Su, from the volunteers team gave a warm welcome to all of them and started providing a few simple guidelines.
Naty & Lean were returning to our runs very disposed to complete their 10th run in our course, and also Jordy, who had celebrated his birthday on the previous day, was back after a few off weeks to get through “La Reserva” paths.
Seb, acting as Run Director of the day, provided a few general guidelines and a safety briefing to all the participants and, before all everyone direct themselves to the starting line and take their positions, all the people present gave a big round of applauses for all the day volunteers (Su, Mary, Maby and Seb).
All the day participants commenced their journey to the starting area; and with all our participants in place and ready to commence their run, our Timer of the day gave a few last-minute announcements for all and after the BANG!!; all our members initiated their march at throttle.
Apner proved to be on fire on the day and very quickly stablish a solid position on the lead. Coming back after a few months of hard training he was very focussed in trying to get a solid PB, while Nestor, Walter and Jordy were intensely disputing the second position.
A bit backwards, and following the leading pack, there was another group with Pato as the first lady, Jose Luis, Sebas & Guille who was aiming to finish his 18th event with us.
Concluding a marvellous run, Apner managed to cross the finish line victorious with a time of 18:08s, improving his previous PB by 1:24s, while in another fierce battle that lasted almost until the final stages of the trail, it was Nestor who managed to get a little margin over Jordy with an impressive sprint finish, and thus obtaining the second step of the podium.
Continuing over our field of participants, it was another group of ladies with Ash, Ingrid and Lu, finishing together with a very respectable time. No PBs but we need to bear in mind that the girls are getting ready to participate in the Buenos Aires Half Marathon that is next Sunday and the long training hours and weekly mileage are starting to kick in their legs. So well done girls. Keep it up!!
A great run on the day with excellent conditions and very good performances. Walter equalled his bet time obtained last week, Apner managed to improve his PB by 1:24 and Pato run a superb PB of 2:07.
In addition, on the day we had two participants completing our course for the first time. With Magali, that previously acted as Data Manager for a few events, and Silvia. Both of them battling through until the end while completing our beautiful course.
Furthermore, our volunteers team continues to get stronger week by week. On our last event we welcome Mary and Maby, that in a wonderful way, gave a great helping hand with the organization of the event, managing to provide their unique and personal touch.
It is very important to remember that all our events are possible thanks to the valuable effort of all our members. All and each of them is a vital participant and as Seb always tells, the events of BATT Argentina are made between all of us.

Finishing the day, Néstor and Magali were the lucky winners in our T-Shirt raffle, and very gently, Magui donated her prize to Silvia. What a nice gesture Magui. Congrats!
To sum up, it was another excellent morning with the BATT Argentina family, where all and each of its participants is leaving their personal mark. Footprints from which we are all part.
