11 Jul BATT Argentina “La Reserva #38” – Reporte de la corrida (07/07/2018)
Llegamos al sábado y el equipo de voluntarios de BATT Argentina se acercaba a “La Reserva” para comenzar con los preparativos de nuestro evento #38.
Como era de esperarse, las puertas de entrada a nuestra locación se encontraban cerradas debido a las malas condiciones climáticas durante los previos días. En esta situación, el Equipo fue informado que las puertas de “La Reserva” permanecerían cerradas durante todo el día, por lo que rápidamente iniciaron los preparativos para desarrollar nuestro evento utilizando el “Recorrido Alternativo”.
Seb daba su regular vuelta de reconocimiento del Recorrido para chequear el terreno y asegurar que todas las condiciones de seguridad estuvieran en su lugar para poder volver a disfrutar una gran corrida y mientras tanto, los primeros participantes se comenzaban a acomodar en nuestro punto de reunión Alternativo en las cercanías “Acceso Viamonte”.
Importante: Se recuerda a todos nuestros miembros que, nuestros eventos no se cancelan por lluvia y en los casos en que en el día las puertas de “La Reserva” se encuentren cerradas, nuestro nuevo “Punto de Encuentro Alternativo” es en las inmediaciones de las puertas del “Acceso Viamonte” de la Reserva Ecológica de la Costanera Sur (Av. Int. Hernán. M. Giralt y Mariquita Sánchez de Thompson).
Llegaban los participantes y comenzaban a agruparse en nuestro “Punto de Encuentro Alternativo”, los voluntarios finalizaban con los preparativos y Seb se preparaba para dar los anuncios iniciales.
Nuestros eventos se pueden llevar a cabo gracias a la participación de todos nuestros miembros, y es por esto que necesitamos la colaboración de todos para poder facilitar a la operatoria de nuestros eventos. “Recordamos la importancia de brindar su Tarjeta Personal y Código BATT Argentina a todos nuestros eventos”.
Como ya sabemos, la seguridad de todos los participantes es fundamental en los eventos de BATT Argentina, y por esto el Director de la Corrida brindó los anuncios generales para todos los participantes.
Y para terminar con los anuncios generales, Seb recordó la importancia y valor agregado de nuestro equipo de voluntarios y llamó a una gran ronda de aplausos para todos ellos.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, todos nuestros eventos son organizados y preparados gracias al esfuerzo y calidez de nuestro fantástico equipo de voluntarios. Existen muy variadas tareas que en su mayoría son muy sencillas y divertidas.

“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
Todos listos y bien informados; voluntarios y participantes se dirigían a la zona de largada “Alternativa” y tomaban posiciones. Nuestro “Fiscalizador de Tiempos” proporcionaba unos últimos anuncios de seguridad y sin perder el tiempo anunciaba la partida.
PREPARADOS…. LISTOS …. YAAAAAAA!!!!!! Y los participantes del día encaraban nuestro sector inicial a toda velocidad.
Rápidamente Néstor y Sebastián se afianzaron en la punta del pelotón, dispuestos a buscar nuevas marcas personales y mejorar sus performances.
Nublado y con algunas
gotas, pero muy buenas condiciones para correr, lo que sumado a las características de nuestro “Recorrido Alternativo” nos permitían anticipar una jornada con muy buenos tiempos entre nuestros participantes.
Ya en la base, y luego de realizar todos los preparativos en nuestra zona de llegada, nuestros voluntarios aguardaban ansiosos el arribo de los primeros participantes.
Y este sábado, acercándose a la meta a toda velocidad, podíamos observar a Néstor que completaba nuestro “Recorrido Alternativo” por primera vez y en primer lugar
con un tiempo de 21:20. Una gran corrida campeón! Muy buen trabajo…
Un poco más retrasado, lo seguía Sebastián que lograba cruzar la meta en segundo lugar con un tiempo de 24:02 y posteriormente, Lucía finalizaba como primera mujer del día con un brillante PB 29:45 y de esta forma logrando el tercer escalón del podio.
Poco a poco todos los participantes concluían sus corridas y a medida que terminaban se agrupaban para refrescarse, estirar sus músculos y compartir un grato momento de distención cercanos a la zona de llegada mientras aguardábamos la llegada de todos nuestros participantes.
Un nuevo evento con excelentes tiempos, grandes actuaciones y muy importantes nuevas marcas personales.

BATT Argentina – Run Report – “La Reserva #38” (07/07/2018)
Another Saturday and once again, the BATT Argentina Team arrived to “La Reserva” to start the preparations for the event #38.
As it was expected, the gates of our locations were closed on the day due to bad weather conditions experienced on previous days. With that conditions, the Team quickly reacted and started the necessary preparations to develop our event using our “Back Up Course”.
Seb started his regular Lap around our running course, to check the ground and ensure that all the running conditions were in place to enjoy another great run; and meanwhile the first participants of the day started to get reunited in our “Back up Meeting Point” in the proximities of the “Acceso Viamonte” Gates.
Important: We have to remind all our members that, our events are never cancelled because of rain and in cases where the gates of “La Reserva” are not opened on the day, our new “Back-up Meeting Point” is in the proximities of the “Viamonte Access Gates” (Av. Int. Hernán. M. Giralt y Mariquita Sánchez de Thompson).
The participants started to arrive and congregating, our volunteers finished off with the remaining preparations and Seb was getting ready to give his brief initial announcements.
Our events are available to all, thanks to the participation of all our members and we always need the help of everyone the facilitate the operations of our events. “We need to remember that it’s very important to bring your Personal Card & BATT Argentina Code to all our events”.
As we all know, Health & Safety of all the participants plays a key role in all BATT Argentina events and as usual, our Run Director provided the general briefing to all the participants. And to conclude with the general announcements, Seb gave thanks to all the participants of the day and finished with a big round of applauses for the day volunteers.
As previously commented, all our events are organized and managed thanks to the warm effort of our fantastic volunteers Team. The tasks are varied, quite simple and good fun, so there’s no excuses.

“YOUR HELPING HAND MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
General security briefing and announcements done and everyone was getting ready. Volunteers and participants going to the Start zone and started to take positions. Seb provided some short last security announcements and without wasting any time, gave the initial signal.
READY….. SET ….. GOOOOOOO! And all our participants started their journey through our first sector in a very fast way.
Very quickly Néstor and Sebastián took the lead, intending to get new PBs and keep improving their running skills.
Cloudy weather with a few light showers, but very nice running conditions, that in addition with the fast and favourable characteristics of our “Back up Course” so everyone located in the finishing area, was ready to welcome our participants with very competitive times.
And close to the goal, after concluding with all the preparations of the finishing area, our volunteers were anxiously waiting the arrival of our first participants.
And this Saturday, approaching the goal at full speed, we could see Nestor that was pushing hard till the end. And, after a brilliant first attempt in our “Back Up Course”, Néstor concluded his run in first place with an awesome time of 21:20. A great run mate! Good work buddy.
A bit backwards, in second place was followed by Sebastian that managed to cross the finish line in second place with a time of 24:02 with Lucia after him, finishing as the first lady of the day with a brilliant PB of 29:45 and achieving the last step of our podium.
Little by little our participants were finishing their runs and they were getting together in our “Meeting area” to refresh themselves, stretch their muscles and share a great relaxing moment while waiting for all the participants to conclude their runs.
Another great event with excellent times, great performances and some very important new PBs.
