01 May BATT Argentina “La Reserva #28” – Reporte de la corrida (28/04/2018)
Luego de una semana con bastante humedad, la mañana del sábado nos despertaba con cielo cubierto y una gran probabilidad de lluvia. El Equipo de Voluntarios de BATT Argentina arribaba a nuestra locación desde tempranas horas de la mañana y fue informado acerca de la no apertura de “La Reserva” debido a que existía un Alerta por fuertes Tormentas pronosticadas.
Agus y su equipo de voluntarios se prepararon para llevar a cabo todos los preparativos necesarios para poder desarrollar el evento en el Recorrido Alternativo; Seb se dispuso a llevar a cabo su vuelta de reconocimiento para corroborar las condiciones del recorrido y ya cerca de las 9:00, comenzaban a arribar los participantes.
Importante: Se recuerda a todos nuestros miembros que, nuestros eventos no se cancelan por lluvia y en los casos en que en el día las puertas de “La Reserva” se encuentren cerradas, nuestro nuevo “Punto de Encuentro Alternativo” es en las inmediaciones de las puertas del “Acceso Viamonte” de la Reserva Ecológica de la Costanera Sur (Av. Int. Hernán. M. Giralt y Mariquita Sánchez de Thompson).
La seguridad de los participantes es fundamental en los eventos de BATT Argentina y como es su costumbre, Seb proporcionó unos breves anuncios para los corredores y culminó sus mensajes con un fuerte aplauso para los voluntarios del día.
Debemos recordar a nuestros miembros, que todos nuestros eventos son organizados y preparados gracias al esfuerzo y calidez de nuestro fantástico equipo de voluntarios. Existen muy variadas tareas que en su mayoría son muy sencillas; así que no hay excusas.

“TU AYUDA HACE LA DIFERENCIA”
El equipo de voluntarios tomaba posiciones, y los corredores partían para organizarse en la largada. Susana y Seb conversaban y preparaban sus estrategias para encarar a corrida.
Agus, actuando como Fotógrafa y 
Fiscalizadora de tiempos tomaba su posición y tras unos últimos breves anuncios de seguridad ….. Preparados, listos y Yaaaaa!!!!!! Y los participantes encaraban la prueba a toda marcha.
Como era de esperarse, Susana tomaba la punta rápidamente y Seb acomodaba su paso para seguirla de cerca.
Durante la corrida, la lluvia sorprendía a nuestros participantes, Susana continuaba su marcha con un sólido ritmo y consistentemente se consolidaba al frente, mientras Seb acompañaba sus pasos de cerca.
El equipo de voluntarios se encontraba preparado en la zona de llegada y a lo lejos empezaban a divisar a los participantes acercándose a la meta a gran velocidad. Con Susana Mabel finalizando la prueba logrando una nueva Marca Personal de 26:47 y Seb unos segundos más tarde y también logrando una nueva MP de 26:48

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #28” – Run Report (28/04/2018)
Not much rain during the week, but high humidity. Saturday morning woke us up with a grey sky full of clouds and the forecast wasn’t that promising. The volunteers Team of BATT Argentina was early in our venue and as expected, it was informed that “La Reserva” was not going to open its doors to the general public because there was a Storm Alert.
Agus and her volunteers Team got ready to set up the Back up course; Seb started his course recognition round to check the over all conditions of the course and getting close to 9:00 the participants started to arrive.
Important: We have to remind all our members that, our events are not cancelled because of rain and in cases where the gates of “La Reserva” are not opened on the day, our new “Back-up Meeting Point” is in the proximities of the “Viamonte Access Gates” (Av. Int. Hernán. M. Giralt y Mariquita Sánchez de Thompson). Photo back up course
Health & Safety of all the participants plays a key role in all BATT Argentina events and as usual, Seb gave the usual initial announcements to all of our participants, finishing with a big round of applauses for the day volunteers.
It’s very important to remember that all our events are organized and managed thanks to the warm effort of our fantastic volunteers Team. The tasks are varied and quite simple to be honest, so no excuses.

“YOUR HELP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”
The volunteers got ready and took their places and the day runners started to get organized in the start line. Susana and Seb were chatting and preparing their strategies with the intention of achieving new Personal Best Times.
Agus, apart from Timing the run, was taking some photographs, so. She got ready on her spot and after a few short Safety announcements.
READY….. SET ….. GOOOOOOO!! And our participants started their run at full throttle.
And as exected, Susana quickly got the lead while Seb was trying to set up a solid pace to be able to follow her closely.
During the course of the run, a heavy drizzle took our runners by surprise, but Susana kept her solid rhythm and consolidate her front position, while Seb was starting to get close.
Back at the base, the volunteers Team was getting ready to welcome the first competitors; and from the distance they could start seeing our participants were quickly approaching the Finish.
At the end, it was Susana the one that crossed the goal first, achieving a new PB of 26:47, while Seb finished just behind and also achieving a brilliant PB.
