27 Nov BATT Argentina "La Reserva #6" – Reporte de la corrida (25/11/2017)
Otra semana laboral terminada, y por suerte llegamos al Sábado. Y una nueva corrida de “Buenos Aires Time Trials” se celebra en “La Reserva”.
Nuevamente, contábamos con una mañana de ensueño. Una temperatura muy agradable, con cielo despejado y una muy amena y suave briza del sur, establecían las casi perfectas condiciones (ya que siempre se puede pedir un poco más. Jajaja) para que nuestros corredores puedan disfrutar de una maravillosa experiencia.
Como es la costumbre, el Equipo de BATT encabezado por Agus, nuestra coordinadora de Voluntarios del día, llegó a “La Reserva” en horas tempranas para chequear las condiciones del terreno y realizar todos los preparativos del evento.
Varios eventos y carreras en la mañana del sábado hicieron que algunos de nuestros ya regulares, no pudieran atender al evento. Y fue Jaz, quien como de costumbre, arribó en primer lugar. Y tras aguardar unos momentos para esperar otros participantes, Seb proporcionó los anuncios e instrucciones de Seguridad a los corredores.
Al igual que en previos eventos, en esta corrida contábamos con participantes dando sus primeros pasos en la experiencia de los 5K. Agus y Pip, con tan solo 9 años, estaban dispuestas a correr y encararon nuestra línea de largada.
Debemos recordar que los niños están invitados a participar en todos nuestros eventos, y pero por motivos de seguridad, todos aquellos que son menores de 11 años deben estar acompañados por un adulto responsable durante todo el transcurso del recorrido.
Todo listo y nuestros corredores ya se encontraban alineados en la “Largada”. Seb brindó unas ultimas indicaciones y……. Preparados, Listo y Ya!! Todos nuestros corredores largaron velozmente por la recta inicial.
Jaz había comentado que deseaba mejorar su anterior marca de 30:22 y que se sentía que era el día ideal para conseguirlo; y como puede observarse en la foto, desde la largada arremetió con fuerza y tomo la delantera.
Por otro lado, Pip y Agus, como responsable a cargo, se lanzaron decididas a terminar su primer 5K, con una serie de sprints, trotes, caminatas y algo de charla (Quizás un poco demasiada, parece. Jajajaj).
Era una excelente mañana y varios corredores particulares disfrutaban de la Reserva. Seb, se encontraba en la línea de llegada y para su sorpresa, cuando su cronometro marcaba alrededor de 26 minutos, ya podía comenzar a divisar la silueta de Jaz en su sprint final.
Excelente corrida y logrando un PB de más de tres minutos. Felicitaciones Jaz!! Bien hecho campeón…..
Asimismo, los demás corredores fueron completando sus corridas y al final nos juntamos a disfrutar Mate & Cookies todos juntos.

BATT Argentina “La Reserva #6” – Run Report (25/11/2017)
We conclude another working week and luckily, Saturday has arrived. And once again, we are ready to celebrate another fantastic “Buenos Aires Time Trials” event in “La Reserva”.
A morning to dream in our venue. With very pleasant temperature, clear skies and a very gentle cooling breeze from the south, established the almost perfect running conditions (since we can always ask for a bit more. Hahaha) so that our runners can enjoy a wonderful experience.
As per usual, the BATT Team led by Agus, our Volunteers coordinator for the day, arrived at “La Reserva” in the early hours to check the course conditions set up the preparations for the event.
Some of our already regular members couldn’t attend because there was several events and races on Saturday morning; And it was Jaz, who as usual, arrived first. Then, after waiting a few moments for other participants, Seb provided the initial security announcements and Health and Safety instructions to the runners.
As in previous events, in this run we had participants taking their first steps in the 5K experience. Agus and Pip, with only 9 years, were willing to run and got ready in our start line.
We must remember that children are invited to participate in all our events, but for security reasons, all those who are under 11 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the whole course of the run.
All ready and our runners were already aligned at the Start line. Seb gave some final indications and … Ready, Set & Goooooo!!! With all our runners bursting quickly into the initial straight.
Previously, Jaz commented that he was feeling specially well on the day and that he was expecting to improve his previous mark of 30:22 (and as can be seen in the photo); he pushed hard from the start and took the lead.
On the other hand, Pip and Agus, acting as the responsible adult, decided to finish their first 5K, with a series of sprints, jogs, walks and some talking (maybe a bit too much talking I would say. Hahaha).
An excellent morning and other runners were also enjoying “La Reserva”. Seb, was in the finish line and to his surprise, when his chronometer was indicating around 26 minutes, he could already begin to see the silhouette of Jaz in his final sprint.
Excellent run from him, cutting down his previous PB by more than three minutes. Congratulations, Jaz !! Well done champ…
Also, the other runners were completing their runs and in the end, after the close down of the event. We got together to enjoy Mate & Cookies all together.
