Entrenando para Maratones ~ MARATON de BUENOS AIRES 2017 #3

BUENOS AIRES TIME TRIALS
 Creo q no me excedí.
 Gabriel ”

BUENOS AIRES TIME TRIALS
Following with the same topic as per our last articles. We continue getting to know our colleagues a bit more.
On this occasion Gabriel, another of our members, is letting us know a bit more about his history and experience as runner, also bringing some humble heathy advices.
Meeting our members and some of their stories:
Once again, the words of our friend ……
“Hi Guys, I hope to be brief ….  This was my 4th Marathon and to be honest, the effort and sacrifices have been enormous.
I am 44 years old. Working and Studying; and I am a member of two training groups (ubacorre y bac).
Motivations ????
A lot…. Keeping healthy & fit, spend some time with friends, etc.
In my first Marathon …. When I was there, crossing the 20 mile barrier, with body shattered and my brain feeling drained, I felt that I was running with my father and friends. Those who got ahead of me and are no longer with us.
I felt their support and words of encouragement, something refreshing, and that they were saying “Come on. We’ll see you at the end”.
I am not too much of an OCD guys. I take care of myself but I also know how to enjoy my moments. A lot of cycling. I keep on saying to myself that was the last one, but I keep signing myself to another one.
My next step (My carrot) is to get to do some 26.2 miles ones inside and outside the country.
In my 4th marathon I really felt the encouragement and support from my father and friends. During the race, I was feeling much better and there was no blisters nor injuries.
Word of advice: Please try to respect and make use of all the water stations. And please do not stop enjoying the experience. When you least expect, it will be over.
And do not forget. To run is to believe in yourself and your loving ones.
Moving one leg and then the other one …. You are there mate!! You’ve just started.
I believe I have not exceed myself too much.
Gabriel ”

“ Uppss, I forgot  …always ready; When is the next one?
