16 Nov BATT Argentina "La Reserva #3" – Reporte de la corrida (04/11/2017)
Nuevamente llego el sábado, y las corridas semanales de Buenos Aires Time Trials se llevaron a cabo en la Reserva ecológica de Costanera Sur.
Muy linda mañana con cielo despejado y una temperatura más que agradable. El terreno de la reserva se encontraba en muy óptimas condiciones, salvo algunas pequeñas zonas con barro y algunos charcos causados por lluvias aisladas durante la semana.
Como es la costumbre, el equipo de voluntarios desde muy temprano se encargaba de chequear y preparar las condiciones para la corrida y al rato, comenzaron a arribar los participantes del día con tres nuevos miembros realizando su primer evento con nosotros.
Seb, el director de la corrida del día, se encargó de realizar los anuncios de seguridad y aclaro todas las dudas de los nuevos corredores.
Ya en la línea de largada, Seb proveyó un par de últimos avisos y tras el Preparados, listo, Ya! cual leones acechando a su presa, los intrépidos participantes encararon la recta inicial a toda velocidad.
Durante la primera parte del recorrido, los corredores pudieron disfrutar de muy óptimas condiciones climáticas; y fue al llegar a la Riviera, fuera de la sombra de los árboles que comenzaron a sentir la fuerza del cielo despejado. Por suerte, durante esa parte del recorrido cercana al rio, siempre existe una agradable brisa que ayudaba a combatir el calor.
Ya a mitad de la vuelta, el grupo de participantes se había desperdigado bastante y fue Rodrigo quien, con un gran esfuerzo en su sprint final, logro terminar en primera posición estableciendo un nuevo Record para el recorrido de 24:05 (Si deseas ver el resto de los resultados, por favor visita www.facebook.com/buenosairesTT).
Poco a poco, todos los participantes cruzaron la línea de llegada y, ya reunidos en nuestro Punto de reunión, los corredores estiraron, compartieron experiencias, mates y bizcochos.
Otra vez, pudimos compartir de una excelente mañana en la Reserva Ecologica. Poco a poco el evento va creciendo y continuamos implementando nuevas y mejores operatorias para proveer un mayor valor a nuestra comunidad de corredores.

Saturday again, and another Buenos Aires Time Trials weekly run is held in “La Reserva”.
A really nice morning with blue skies and a very pleasant temperature. Very optimal ground conditions, with the exemption of some muddy areas and a few puddles caused by some scattered showers during the week.
As per usual, the volunteers team arrived early to check and set up the course for the run; and not much later the participants start to arrive. This week, we welcome three new members that were performing in their first event with us.
Seb, our run director of the day, was in charge of providing the announcement briefing and solved all the queries from the new participants.
An later on, right over the start line, Seb gave a couple of final indications. Ready, Set, GO!! and as per Lions chasing their prey, the intrepid runners strike the initial straight at full speed.
During the first part of the run, everything went smoothly and the runners could enjoy very good running conditions; and it was only after arriving to the Riverside, out form the shade of the woods that they start feeling the strength of the clear skies. Luckily, over this part of the course, close to the river, there’s always a very pleasant breeze that helps to bear the heat.
Starting all together, from the middle of the run, the group of participants was quite dispersed and it was Rodrigo who, with a great sprint finish effort, finished in first position establishing a new course record of 24:05 (If you want to see the rest of the results, please visit www.facebook.com/buenosairesTT).
Little by little, all our participants crossed the finish line and, once already reunited in our Meeting Point, our runners stretched, shared experiences, biscuits and some “Mate”.
Once again, we had the chance of sharing an excellent morning the Ecological Reservation. Little by little our events are growing and we continue to implement new and better operatories to provide more value for our community of runners.
